My daughter is turning 3 next month and I'm having her birthday party at Mcdonald's Play Place. Its $60.. They supply the cake and ice cream , goodie bags, hats, invitations, happy meals, and activities for 10 kids. I think that is not bad. All you have to do is bring the kids.. I also requested that they clean the play area the day before the party and the manager said it would not be a problem..

2 is young for him to participate in a whole lot but the other kids can play and he will still enjoy himself.
If you're having it at your home you can do a balloon drop. You get the bag at any party store and fill it with balloons that are stuffed with candy or $1 bills. Hold it up high, pull the chord, the balloons all fall and the kids have to use their feet to pop the balloons and get candy. They all love that game. Or the old ones.. pin the tail on the whatever, musical chairs, hot potato, etc.

for my daughters 2ND birthday we just invited friends over for a small meal and cake. We let the kids just play and at the time to sing happy birthday we say my daughter in a specially decorated chair for that moment. We also asked our friends to bring a gift that could be donated to the local children's hospital in her name. We find intimate settings at home much more enjoyable then having a big party where we do not get to spend the time with our family and friends.

I went for the simple stuff for my daughters 2nd b-day. I did a pull string pinata (easy enough for a 2 yo) and pin the tail on the donkey. Instead of giving goodie bags I gave out empty bags and they got to fill it pinata stuff. I really packed the pinata though. Not just candy. Toys, crayons, really anything that was small enough to fit in. All the kids had a blast, even my teenager.

For my daughters 2nd bday we did Elmo. It what she was really into at the time. We had pizza and cake. She loved it. Of course it was mostly family, and a few kids of friends, but she had a great time. She still got to have the birthday arty experience as well.

Well, it all depends on where you want to have your son's birthday party and how much you want to spend. My daughter just turned two and since she loves the Backyardigans I did that as her theme and we had the party at our house and everyone had fun playing the games that I found at the party store that went with the Backyardigans theme of her party.
I hope this helps you and hope your son has a wonderful and fun birthday.

I had a carnival birthday when I was 7. We had little games around my yard like bean bag, pick a duck, and ring toss. There were little prizes to like those mini playdoughs. And there was a bounce house and a cotton candy machine, but that was the exspensive part.

I never had a birthday party with friends for my kids when they were only 2. Your child probably won't remember what happened anyway. Go to a park, let the kids play and serve pizza and juice.

Well you need to know what they are interested in and then have some cake and ice cream. Then have some games with prizes and then have a little sleep over with some of his or her friends or with family. You also will need to know the theme... so then you know what he like the most.
