I was watching a show a couple of days ago, this guy was breeding beagles. He had them in a abandoned building. They never been outside. The dogs where in poor condition. It made me sick.

To make things worse, the building was going to be torn down the next day.

Yeah, I watch that show, and I also see stuff like that in real life almost everyday where I live, only there are no "animal cops" here to do anything about it. We have no vet, no animal control, or anything like that. Dogs just run around where ever they want, mate with with any dog they see, have puppies anywhere they want, I could go on and on. When there are too many dogs running the streets, the local constables drive around town and shoot them.

Yes I watch it. I would love to do to the people what they do to the animals. I become enraged when I see what these poor animals go through. The only thing that I find annoying about soome of these shelters is the fact that they put down dogs which could be turned around with time, love, understanding and patience. I am talking from experience. I always have rescue dogs, mainly German Shepherds, and no matter what problems they have had, food aggression, dog aggression etc., not one of them has failed to do 360 turnaround. They need foster carers who know what they are doing and have the time to spend with the dog. They can't beg for a second chance, but we do not have the right to kill them just because we think they are hopeless cases. There is no such thing, except the pit bulls who know nothing but how to fight, and sometimes THEY can be turned around too. Experienced dog handlers can often work wonders with these poor scared mixed up dogs.

I've seen stuff like that first hand doing rescue and sadly enough there are so many puppy mill owners around and not enough people to do anything about it. They really need to set legal limits on who is breeding, how many dogs, and how many times the animal is bred. They also need to do follow-up inspections to make sure the dogs are being taken care of, have proper care and updated veterinary records, and that they are getting plenty of exercise, good food, and are being properly sheltered. it's horrible that most legislation think of these people as a buisness rather than animal owners. The first rescue I did looked like we came from a saughterhouse. There was blood everywhere, infectious material, the dogs were bit up, had worms, were infested with fleas and ticks, had fly bites all over, kennel sores, covered in feces, and socially deprived into depression. It took almost a year to rehabilitate most of the dogs. It's been four years and one of the dogs is still being rehabilitated.

I do and I think it's cruel what those people that the animal cops go after do to their pets and other animals. Sometimes it's so bad it makes me sad for the animal but I feel better when it gets rescued. Then if the animal is too bad or mean and they have to put it down I feel bad again. It's really sad. I love animals.

I live animal cops. I work in an animal shelter, and see this sort of thing all the time. Even still, I find it hard to watch it on TV. People are sick and cruel. And anyone who treats animals like that should be put in jail for the rest of their lives. Or forced to live in the conditions they made the animals live in.

I watch it all the time. I too am appalled at what people can do to animals. I'm thrilled when the animals recover and cry openly when they do not. It's a good thing I'm not an animal cop, for if I were, the real police/justice system wouldn't have to worry about punishing them.

I believe I saw that one. I watch the show whenever I get a chance. I actually plan on trying to get training to become an animal control officer with full police powers. It would be a very hard job, but I think it's rewarding, too.

I've seen some of them, when my boyfriend does his usual channel surfing, but I can't sit and watch it...too depressing, though I know the people are doing good and nailing the other people and saving the animals...when they can on both.

I can't....it makes me sick to watch what some people have done/do to animals. I am very glad that at least some of these terrible people are caught.
