I'm frazzled. There are lovely dresses out there, but they are all strapless. Between being overweight and having tattoos, I don't want a sleeveless, spaghetti strap or short-sleeved dress.
I don't want to hide a beautiful strapless dress under a jacket/wrap - thats not the point.
The only thing I can find, so far, that offers sleeves are Renaissance dresses, and that isn't exactly what I'm looking for.
SO, are there any dress makers out there who are located within 4hours drive of NYC or who you can order from over the internet?

I love my tattoos, I just don't think ANY tattoo should be exposed in a church-setting. That's partly why I got them where I did - - sleeves cover them!
And upon going to David's Bridal last night the sales girl said she *might* have 1 dress in the store that has sleeves.
I really like the dresses that have color in them and have only found 1 dress that has sleeves and color.
This one fit me nicely, the shape was flattering, but I'm not comfortable in a sleeveless:

Go to a fabric store and look at dress patterns. When you find something that catches your eye, take it to a seamstress and tell her you want this design in your wedding dress and ask her if she can make it. If not, go find an expensive wedding dress (say $99) and take it to the seamstress and have her alter the top to your liking. Should be too expensive as long as you know what you want and the seamstress is willing to go the extra mile for you.

This is a great site that sells long sleeved dresses that aren't weird. They are beautiful. There is a cute 3/4 length sleeve dress on the last link. Good Luck.

You could lose weight before the wedding, unless it's coming up soon. You could have those hideous tattoos removed. That is the trouble with tattoos. People get them, outgrow the need for them, and then years later they interfere with other things. It's ridiculous to think ALL wedding dresses are strapless. They are not. I don't know where you are looking but believe me, there are dresses for larger size women that are less revealing. Go to a large bridal house such as David's Bridal that has a big selection of dresses. They are NOT all strapless!

Try these different sites. Maybe you can what you are looking for or even find a store close to you to order what you may be looking for. Hope this helps.
