I don't know if you like hip hop, but I really like Tupac's "Dear Mama." Its about his mom (a single mother), and how she did everything she could for him, and how he's so greatful to her because of that.

Terry Clark's She didn't have time.
I love it. Its all about a girl who didn't have time to be miserable when the guy left her with a baby, didn't have time to meet anyone while working and toting her daughter here and there and then doesn't have time to fall for a guy but does. It covers everything a single mom goes through without being bitter.
