...him? I'm just curious, I have noticed in the past that when a female friend has done that to me, she was attracted to me.

I'm not asking because of a current situation by the way.

Well I only hug guys I'm intrested in around the neck because it pulls the face closer and makes me available for a kiss it makes me feel vaulnerable...Regular friends get a underarm hug it puts my face on their chest and no possibility of a kiss and also it makes me feel protected like a friend is supposed to do

oh yeah! You have to keep it casual when its your guy friends , even if theyve known you for a while ,you can still give them the wrong impression! I have alot of guy friends, and everytime a girl would do that to them , friend or not they would always come back and talk about how the girl wants him or is always all over everyone and thats when the call you a hoe or a tease( not to say that you are, thats just waht they say!) ! Believe me guys do not act the same around girls ! I always give them a hand shake ( like give em some dapp) or a side hug , so they get no ideas!Plus if I dont like a guy like that I would never give them a hug like that!

Not at all! I love getting hugs from all of my friends and I don't do the half hearted 1-armed pat on the back style. I do both arms around the neck and a give a good squeeze. They all give me a bear hug in return, sometimes even lifting me off my feet. Thats my favorite. It just feels good and happy, and I love and care for my friends / family. Thats how I show it.

If you want to know whether a person is attracted to you, why don't you try asking them. Don't put to much stock in the way you are receiving a hug. People hug in different ways.

1. She's taller than you and that's the place that she feels comfortable hugging you at (I have a very touchy friend and when he hugs me to say bye, I'm shorter than him- a lot shorter- and i give him a little half hug- i put my arms halfway around him sorta grabbing his sides with my arms but not touching him with my hands- is that weird?)
2. She really does like you and is trying to give you little hits.
3. idk i just felt like typing the number 3

i think that if you go around the shoulders its not as personal as like around the mid section of a guy because when I'm
attracted to a guy i like to hug where my face falls on his chest and i can smell him and follow with the lagging hands across back muscles and to the front of his chest with a pat.........loll around the neck to me is hurry up and get it over with

Depends on his height compared to mine, and where his arms go. Typically its around his back...neck hugging is a little more intimate because it tends to bring faces closer together. ☺☻

Not always. I always hug my guy friends and i don't like any of them it just is an act of compassion.... you get what i mean. This chick may like you but not every friend that hugs you wants more. Girls hug!!!!

im not a lady but i can tell you that is a yes! for sure. a friendly hug would be one arm under and one arm over. if she puts her hands around your neck or your waist, its more towards the" more than friends "side.

No. I love lots of my male friends, but in a sisterly way. I hug them. It does not mean I fancy them.
