It's a military move. From the east coast to the west coast. They will probably come and get our stuff anywhere from the 15th to the 20th. How long do you think it would take?

15th to the 20th of November that is. Hopefully earlier.

We are taking a plane to our destination. I was just wondering how long it would take our things to get where we are going.

When you move military, it's a little different than civilian movers moving your stuff. When TMO comes to pack you up, they will hold your stuff in a storage area either at your place of current duty station or your new duty station. When you get to your new duty station, you and your husband (if he's here with you) will go to TMO and set up a date for your household goods to be delivered once you get your address, whether that be base housing or a place in town.

We just moved from Colorado to North Carolina and our stuff was held here at Camp Lejeune until we got our house and then the TMO move-in date took a couple of days, it was really easy.

I've done 8 TMO moves since I've been married to my Marine, it gets pretty repetitive after a while. I've done one DITY move (Never again!). Just make sure you take what you know you'll need once you're there. If you know you'll have housing right away, rent a small trailer and take a TV, maybe a small kitchen table and a small sofa and maybe your bed or at least an inflatable mattress. It's so much better to be prepared!

As a professional mover I can tell you it takes usually 10 to 15 days to go across country, however you will have a delivery window of 5 to 7 days beyond that in case the driver picks up a job in your area or on the way, so I wouldn't expect your things in less than 21 days unless you fill the truck with your stuff and they ship you over in an exclusive use truck (only your stuff on the truck) then it will be faster but that seldom happens as a 53' trailer will hold about 32000lbs of house hold goods. Check with the agent who comes out to give the estimate, he should be able to give you a better idea of delivery times.

A moving truck with 2 drivers can operate 22 hours per day. Figure an average speed of 55 mph divide into the miles. That allows for stops etc. Mapquest can provide the mileage and drive time too.

You should have told them when you wanted it delivered when you did your packout paperwork. Normally it is about 2 weeks total since they move other people besides you with the same truck. If you are not there to receive your shipment it will go into storage and then get delivered to your home from storage. The more people that touch your stuff the more stuff that you own will get ruined by the movers. Our last two moves have been totally screwed with claims in excess of $10K each good luck and call your household goods office for a real answer to your question. We can't read the minds of the moving company or the HHG office that is handling your move.

Normally it takes about two to three weeks for your stuff to arrive at your new duty station but honestly it just depends on the truck driver - once we moved over Christmas and our stuff was in AZ in three days!! Also depends on how many people are on the same truck - if you have less than half you will have to share. However if you are having it crated it will only be your shipment on a semi -- transportation should give you dates when you set up the actual pack out dates.

When we moved from Seattle to Miami, our stuff took 10 days to get here, we took 6. We moved during the winter and had to stop for a storm system in Wyoming.. not to mention the 4 kids and the dog needing frequent bathroom breaks :)

We moved from TN to WA, but took leave in between, so I'm not really sure how long it took our things to get there. We drove up to NY to see my family after the movers took our things. 2 weeks later, my husband drove across country from NY to WA while the kids and I stayed behind. It took him 3 days. By the time he got there, our things were already waiting in storage. The kids and I flew out a week later to meet him. Once we got housing, we called the moving company to deliver our things.

inspite of ways you seem at it...it fairly is incorrect. i'm sorry. first of all you're the two being VERY egocentric. He has a woman chum. i do no longer care how in LOVE you adult males are; have faith of the wear and tear you're doing to his courting. He could be ashamed for even speaking to a minimum of one greater woman while he's already with everybody. besides the reality that he did no longer understand your age he do no longer desire even persisted to pursue you after determining of your genuinely age. i assume you're appearing like a homewrecker. THIS could be a purple flag to you that he says he will flow for you and ditch his relatives and lady chum. This to me heavily isn't a guy...it fairly is a coward who takes the user-friendly potential out. i do no longer care how tousled his abode existence is...it fairly is improper and egocentric and if sexual...unlawful. i'm sorry to be harsh, yet I say run the different course. once you're on your 20's you would be waiting to look back and assume WHAT THE HECK replaced into as quickly as I thinking!?? you will no longer be apologetic approximately leaving him be and moving on. Being 14 you will no longer take heed to the advice of everybody older and wiser and you could pursue it and you would be waiting to be fullyyt heartbroken ultimately. it is the consistent mind set of our youthful era and it saddens me. which you would be waiting to contemplate which you're mature, besides the undeniable fact that this entire worry you face exhibits which you're no longer any greater...until eventually you walk away immediately. wish this enables.

if you are driving, get a Garmin Nuvi 350. That way you won't get lost. It will also give you the exact distance and rough estimate of time. It will also find gas stations for you or any store you want to hit up on the way.

TMO should be able to give you an estimate....I drove from TX to TN and my stuff arrived before I did! But when I went from WA to TX, it took about two weeks.
