you should get your battery checked

1. Bad or old battery. Pop the caps on the battery and check the water level. If your battery is 7 years old, ya it's time to change it.
2. Bad connections. Battery terminals accumulate corrosion. Scrub that crud off with a wire brush.
3. Drain on battery. Take your car to Autozone, Wal-Mart, or any place that sells batteries. They can hook up a device to see if anything is draining from your battery when your car is turned off.

I do not believe it is a bad starter, otherwise the car will not turn over, or a jump would not help.

I had a car that did that for no apparent reason, replaced the battery twice and it didn't help either. Never found out what the problem was but I bought one of these http://www.batterystuff.com/solar-chargers/SE-2.html and it solved my problem. Just pulls into your lighter socket and keeps the battery charged.

It sounds like there is a short circuit somewhere in the car, or the battery is bad. If you have added any accessories check to see that they are not connected directly to the battery and being left on.

Maybe a short in a wire somewhere (very possible if you recently replaced the stereo). Also the battery may need to be replaced (they don't last forever).

Maybe the battery is broken or there is a problem with the circulation.

battery might have a leak. get a good look at it, take it out if necissary. Replace if needed. How are you sure your alternator is good? was it just replaced?
