Why don't they make chefs wear bandana's while cooking. There is one tv show in particular that has a few chef's that use their hands and sleeves to wipe their brows and it probably drips on the food too. The other question...

Do you blow your nose at the dinner table? This includes your own dinner table or at a relatives house..

I never blow my nose at the table. But I have patted at it a few times when it wasn't feasible to jump up and down.

I would rather someone blow their nose at the table than sit there and sniff constantly or, even worse, have mucus running down their face. And to make them jump up and go to the bathroom everytime they need to blow would be ridiculous. Of course you should blow, just do it discretely!

You're confusing TV show with reality.
Chefs wear some type of hat/toque or bandanas in a real restaurant.

Thinking of TV shows... The Next Iron Chef.
The chefs on that show were sweating like crazy because the shows producers turned off the fans and vents because the noise was effecting the sound recording equipment. They were literally in 100+ degree F temperatures.

I think chefs should wear sweat bands or have a towel in their apron just for wiping the sweat!

And no blowing your nose at ANY table where other people are around is not polite, if you must, wipe only or excuse yourself to toe restroom.

The TV chefs probably are too vain to wear hairnets. You should ask to be excused and blow your nose in the toilet but it might be a problem if you have a very runny nose!

SOME USE BANDANNAS AS SWEAT BANDS AND IF THEIR HAIR IS LONG TO KEEP IT BACK OFF THEIR FACE . AS FOR BLOWING YOUR NOSE OR ANY OF THOSE NOSE PICKING OR SCRATCHING IN IT OR NEAR IT IS NOT APPRECIATED OR WANTED AT MY DINNER TABLE OR ANYONE I ASSOCIATE WITH . IF YOU HAVE TO DO THIS MAYBE WHEN EATING SOMETHING TO SPICEY QUICKLY SUCK IT UP AND EXCUSE URSELF AND GO BLOW .
