The idea of selflessness and the original teachings of Christ were lost on big business. Without re-inventing church doctine, as they did at the Council of Nicea, the church as a business would have died from internal collapse. Ideas surfaced within the church that providing testimony and prosthelitizing to the masses would grow the church. Churches weren't concerned with the spread of the word for the New Testament God's purpose. They wanted more of "us" and less of them. They quickly found out the Old Testament God's teachings and actions were much more effective in amassing converts (Crusades, pillaging, plundering... etc). But nowadays it is taboo to go around the world eradicating unbelievers (at least us Christians can't do it). So the Church is back to viral marketing.
Your answer is this. The Word of God was interpreted as soon as it left his being and was put on paper. Once it became an interpreted language, it could be molded to serve the purposes of anyone who needed a very large amount of people to do something, anything. The power of the church is in numbers. In this regard, providing testimony is not prideful... it is the directive of God.

No. Being saved isn't something you can really be proud of, because you didn't do anything to deserve it.
I think constantly telling people you are saved is the way some people feel like they are sharing what they have learned.

Telling people they are saved is encouraging them, since it is true. God constantly reassures me of my salvation. So? Is God sinning? And if others assure me, it is only blessing me also. As the devil tempts us to doubt our salvation too often.
If you are telling people they are saved & it isn't true, then it would be a sin. Because you aren't saying the truth because of the fear of offending. And that would be a fear root.
And I will tell others I am saved by the Grace of God. It is only because of Jesus. And if God told me not to tell someone & I did, then it would be a sin. If God told me to tell someone & I didn't, then that would be a sin. A sin is to disobey God. Situations are different.

It is called witnessing and is not a sin, so long that you share your experience by pointing to how Jesus saved you. Jesus should be the center, not you. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite just like the Pharisees.

Probably not a sin, but you should consider whether or not it's annoying people so much they don't want to hear the message. Unless, of course, you're bragging rather than sharing - then it could be considered sinful.

There is nothing prideful in being saved. It is not by anything that you have done but by the grace of God only.

indeed, the sin of pride
"pride goeth before destruction, and a haughy spirit before a fall", out of their own rule book.
but then if they believe they are saved, then all their sins past and future, are forgiven you know. So, they can basically do whatever they want and consider themselves forgiven. handly little touch wouldn't you say?

If someone ask, it's ok to tell but your life is suppose to reflect the fact that you are saved so people don't have to ask.
"Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know God, will come to know God because they know you". Mathew 5:16

NO. You should be proud that you are a christian and live your life according to Gods will by witnessing to others. This includes telling people that you are a born again christian and not being ashamed to do so.

There are many sins that many fundamentalists are guilty of.
For instance, a church making millions of dollars a year doesn't seem very Christian to me. For instance, is this necessary?

Wouldn't that money be better spent helping the poor?
The protestant reformation ruined Christianity.
