Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses well-understand the biblical requirements for salvation.

Of course, the bible NEVER teaches that Jesus is Jehovah. Ironically, the shaky foundations of trinitarianism rest on dubious misapplications of perhaps ten bible verses. By contrast, entire passages and important bible concepts literally require Jesus the Son to be a separate person from God the Father. Who created Jesus? To whom did Jesus pray? Who resurrected Jesus? At whose right hand does Jesus sit?

Jehovah's Witnesses believe that their worship is a restoration of biblical Christianity, as practiced by the apostles and first century Christians. They recognize Christ himself (and the apostles to a much lesser extent) as the "foundation" of true Christian worship. Of course, the bible teaches that God Himself is the "builder".

(Isaiah 28:16) Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “Here I am laying as a foundation in Zion a stone, a tried stone, the precious corner of a sure foundation.

(Acts 4:10-11) Jesus Christ the Nazarene... This is ‘the stone that was treated by you builders as of no account that has become the head of the corner.’

(Revelation 21:14) The wall of the city also had twelve foundation stones, and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

(Hebrews 11:10) the city having real foundations, the builder and maker of which city is God.

Really, it is the bible rather than any human tradition, catechism, or post-biblical writing which can reveal the truth about Jesus Christ.

Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians; they teach that Christ was and is divine and of the same nature as God. What does the bible teach about Jesus?

Jehovah's Witnesses understand the bible to teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe!

Jehovah's Witnesses love and respect and honor Christ. However, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.

(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation

(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.

(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak

(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

Praying is essential if we want to be closer to God. But Does it assures you for salvation? Or God will immediately answer you prayer? It depends on a situation or how u act on what u pray if u want your prayer be answered. For example you pray for happy
family, but u do not check the conduct of every individual in your family including u as a father or mother if they are good or bad how could u assure that God will answer your prayer. Offcourse Jehovah's Witnesses will be save because they do not just pray for a better life but they act on what they pray.

going by ur definition of of what it means to be saved..."pray and believe that "Jesus is Lord/Jehovah"...."...my answer is a resounding "yes!...wen you accept your error in judging Jesus as a mere man"....JWs do not believe that Jesus is Lord. Jesus was not a created being....He did the creating.

EDIT: to clarify my position (mine position = my opinion)...any one of any faith can be saved. Only God knows a person intimately to judge him justly....whether or not he believes in the man Jesus Christ.

I do sympathise with your protest at the way some people seem to play fast and loose with the biblical mandate to publicly identify with the church, which is the world-wide association of Christians, who form the mystical body of Christ. Christ died for the church, such is his love for her! How could anybody dismiss being a card-carrying member of the church as of no consequence? Christ bestows the church with his gifts and he calls each one to bring their giftedness to their fellow believers, for their benefit and his glory. I say that as a Calvinist. Yet all around me, in some Protestant circles, I hear many who profess to be Christians saying that one just has to decide to become a follower of Jesus, and that makes them a Christian! Oh really? You are entirely correct, that the Nicene Creed (and others, I would suggest, like the Westminster Confession of Faith) establish the vital role of the church in the lives of believers, and that we must be solidly identified with the church. But in this pick-and-mix age of do-it-yourself-spirituality, people seem to think they can bypass the deep doctrines of the faith and just go for an amorphous independence. This is not reformed religion. It's religion without form.

The Bible doesn’t say how you said it.

It says”Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” Acts 16:31 KJ . Notice it doesn’t say “Pray and believe”. JWs believe in Jesus as our Lord and Christ.

The Bible also doesn’t say “Jesus is Jehovah”. You cannot find that in the Bible. But what we can find are these.

At Luk23:46 it states 46 And Jesus called with a loud voice and said: “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” This was quoted from Psalms 31:5. So you can tell that Jesus called to his Father when he was about to die. “Into your hand I entrust my spirit.” The text continues “You have redeemed me, O Jehovah the God of truth.”

Isa 63:16 - 16 For you are our Father; although Abraham himself may not have known us and Israel himself may not recognize us, you, O Jehovah, are our Father.

Isa 63 states that Jehovah is the Father, it does not say the Son nor the Holy Spirit. It also used the singular pronoun “you” & singular noun “Father”. It is noteworthy to say that Jehovah is never addressed “The Son” or “Our Son”, etc. but only the “Father”. This is in accordance to what Jesus said in John 17:1-3 when he addressed his Father, “the only true God”. Notice Isa 63 states Jehovah is “Our Father” in heaven, whom Jesus mentioned in the Lord’s prayer. The Father is the only God. That’s why 1 Cor 8:6 states “6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him”. Notice THE FATHER only.

Gen 17:1 states “, then Jehovah appeared to A´bram and said to him: “I am God Almighty”

Now, please use your understanding,

Do you use the phrase “I am” for THREE persons or you only use it for ONE Person?
If God is composed of THREE persons, God should have said “WE ARE God” but you cannot find that it the Bible, don’t you?

You never use the phrase “I am” for THREE Persons. I am is only used for one person.

JESUS said to the Father also in John 17:3, that the Father is the “ONLY True God”, this means there is one and only one person who is God, the Father. and this is confirmed in 1 Cor 8:5 where is states “6 there is actually to us one God the FATHER”.Notice the Father only. Notice also in John 17:3 Jesus excluded himself as the only true God. Instead of saying “We are the only true God” JESUS said “YOU (referring to the Father), and not US” as the only true God. Now are you against Jesus?

Now, if the Son is Jehovah, the Father is Jehovah and the holy spirit is Jehovah according to the Trinity doctrine, then these THREE PERSONS, are THREE Jehovah.

But the Bible says in Deut 6:4 Listen, O Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.

There is ONLY ONE JEHOVAH, who is God Almighty.

Jehovah's Witnesses accept that Jesus was exalted upon his death and made into a mighty God. (Phil 2:9, Is 9:6)

Jesus is not Jehovah. Jehovah is the Father and Jesus Christ is the son.

John 17:3 "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ."

not because you know that Jesus died and rose from the daeth means you are going to be saved not according to Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23.

Matthew 7:21-23 "“Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness"

how many of these people are right now thinking that they are saved cause they believe Jesus is God? and rose from the death?

If they believe that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. Ask Him into their hearts. And forgiveness of their sins.

Jesus & Jehovah aren't the same person.

John 17:3, RS: “[Jesus prayed to his Father:] This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God [“who alone art truly God,” NE], and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.” (Notice that Jesus referred not to himself but to his Father in heaven as “the only true God.”)

John 20:17, RS: “Jesus said to her [Mary Magdalene], ‘Do not hold me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren and say to them, I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (So to the resurrected Jesus, the Father was God, just as the Father was God to Mary Magdalene. Interestingly, not once in Scripture do we find the Father addressing the Son as “my God.”)
