What is the criteria for what is considered inspired and what is considered uninspired? Who determines how scripture is organized? By that I mean who determines how the books are put together and in what specific order they are placed?

Scripture is the Old Testament/Torah and the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Gospels, the Epistles and Revelation is the New Testament. The Torah was basically already compiled into one book or scrolls. The Catholic Church, compiled what is now known as the New Testament and the were lead by the Holy Spirit as to what books to put into the Bible.

Scripture is the entire Bible. God has the authority to decide what is and isn't Scripture. God "inspired" men to write the Bible.(He told them what to write, He is the author.) The Bible is written so that the events are in chronological order.(You wouldn't want to read the New Testament first and wonder why Jesus had to die on the cross or why the Bible talks about Him would you?) God determines that too.

It is in The Holy Bible, God put it there, and God has kept the book around, I know if Someone has messed it up, it would of been taken care of, God has prooved it through, Prophesy, Scripture, and The Holy Spirit that dwells in us when we receive Jesus Christ in our lives.

Call yourself a pastor, cherry-pick from the Bible, create a religion and build a church, get some bamboozleable and brain-washable followers like the one above me....you're on the road to $ucce$$....

That's the American Way!

That's how you can tell who decides. According to Christians, the OT is the Old Law, so when you mention why God commands to stone adulteresses to death, they say Jesus came to erase it all.....but then again, they still 'abide' by the Ten Commandments....

the magisterium of the catholic church, this church gave the world the bible in its complete form with all the books of the ot and the new testament. after the reformation certain non catholics took it upon themselves to remove 7 books of the holy bible, they errored in that the bible did not come thru any protestant group they had no right to mess with the bible, they should of went about and discovered it for themselves but they have no inspiriation for that, the best they can do is follow the catholic church and then take out what they do not like.

The Catholic church decided what is in the bible. That is why LDS believe it as long as it is translated correctly. God had always and still does speak through a prophet.
