Dear Skylabarber,
Jesus Christ left Heaven, where all loved Him and obeyed Him, and humbled Himself to be born through a woman into a poor family, lived a perfect sinless life in obedience to His parents and all authority, learned like any other child, because He laid His divine powers aside, grew up and became strong in faith and the Scriptures, learned who He was and what the Father expected from Him, performed signs and wonders and miracles, even raising the dead -
and then He let men crucify Him and torture Him to death on a cross, taking ALL your sin and my sin and the sin of the whole world upon Himself,
and He did it all for YOU, and for me, and for all who believe in Him and ask Him to be their Savior.
He did this because He LOVES YOU, and wants you to be with Him forever in His heavenly Kingdom. He knows your sin and weakness, but He loves you anyway, and wants you to trust Him to save you, not only from Hell, but also from your sin, and from every evil thing. Because we are weak, He wrote these words through His servant John:
"This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."
I John 1:5 - 2:2
So why not confess your sin to Him now in humble prayer, ask Him to forgive you, and then thank Him for forgiveness - because He already said He would forgive you! Then go out and simply try to show the kindness and forgiveness towards others that He has shown towards you - and if you miss it and do the wrong thing, just keep going back to Him asking his help, until you get it right!
God is for you - not against you - it is the Devil who comes to accuse. When the Devil accuses you, just read him these Scripture verses, and remind him that Jesus has already promised to forgive you.
If you keep trusting Jesus, and do what's right - loving God and loving people, He will get you all the way Home - even the place He has reserved for you, in Heaven.
Peace to you!
