My wife thinks Dale Jr. goes the other way...All the other drivers have their girl friends or wives with them...Jr. seems to be always by himself...What do you think?My wife is a 48 fan!!!!

It doesn't really matter, but...He has had a lot of girlfriends. His relationships just don't last too long. I saw an interview with him recently where he explained he is currently single. When asked why, he basically said that he is old fashioned, and has to be in charge. As soon as his gf starts telling him what to do, or making decisions for him or them, he says she's got to go. He says when he finds a girl that can live with that, it will work out.

Tony Stewart doesn't have a woman on his shoulder either, so does that make him go "for the alternative life style"?
No, it means that these drivers are focussed on driving and maybe don't have time to look for women.
Besides, if you were paying any attention to NASCAR this year, you'd realize that Dale Jr isn't having one of his best seasons. Between his six or seven DNFs, blown engines, crashes, he may not be in the best mood to look for a wife.
Also I think Fox and ABC/ESPN have better things to do than to ask each single driver where his wife/girlfriend is or if he's dating or if he's looking for the perfect man/woman. If you're looking for that kind of gossip, check out E! or People. That kind of medium has the mindnumbing gossip that you're looking for.

I guess Clint L hasn't seen the cover of the new 'Hot Rod' magazine with JR. and his new bad to the bone '70 Camaro!

Jr. has admitted he's not good at relationships because if the girl tries to steer the boat at all he dumps her. He gets it from his dad who was married 3 times.

No way dude that rich, famous and in "that" sport turns up gay. His Dad would roll over bro.

I was thinking the same thing!! A jr fan actually pointed this out to me... because I was complaining that everyone keeps calling JG gay... but Jr NEVER HAS A GIRLFRIEND AT THE TRACK! hahaha
but he's not from the city like JG.. he's a good ol boy, so nobody thinks that right away.
edit: no TL.. it doesn't really matter. But it makes for fun smack talking and Nascar fans do A LOT of that. :o)

I've seen him with girlfriends over the years, just not as much as some of the other guys. I think he's just a very private person.

I think with all the media watching his life, he'd try to keep some aspects of it private. He's said that he doesn't have time for a girlfriend right now. Why not try to respect him for it?
