both my kids have been peanut butter on toast since they were 1 yr of age. They are now 31 mos and five and a half and they may sway to a cereal some mornings but they'd rather have pb bread.

Something high in protein and low in sugar to start the day. Some ham, or bacon. Maybe a piece of buttered toast. Sugary cereals are not the best way to start them off, personally I think they are better as a snack. Maybe some fruit, but children need protein in the morning.

Hi, Well you want to avoid all the breakfasts that have high sugar amounts in them - usually the ones aimed at kids! My kids love weetabix or rice crispies, they also love fruit so sometimes have a banana and a yoghurt. Toast is also ok but probably not enough and should be eaten along with cereals.

I've been giving my son bagels (maybe cinnamon raising or some other flavor) and some Polaner All-fruit or other similar spread, with soy milk. It keeps him satisfied until lunch time.
