I need specific reasons why you, as a person,
would want to visit Ireland.
The scenery?
The languages?
The history?

I want to know your personal reasons. :)

Yes. Absolutely.

I have visited ireland before. I went for my honeymoon.

It is beautiful, full of history, and they do speak English and have English signage.

But, the people are the real reason to go. People are genuine there. Sure.. There is crime. And, there are scammers. But, in general, people are happy to chat with you and smile in greeting.

I loved my time there and I intend to go back someday.

Well now, I'm biased because I was born here and live here .... and have lived in other countries but I don't want to live anywhere else.

The scenery is great, and very wild in some places.

The languages? Well, officially you've English and Irish, which some call Gaelic. But now there's also a lot of Polish and Russian spoken ... no bad thing to have influences from other countries, I think it has enriched the country myself. New people coming in to live and work has certainly improved the overall standards in the restaurants and cafes.

History? Well now, history is a manmade thing. People write down what they perceive to be important. If you are prepared to take the time, you will find 'less' important histories in local places, and these are far more alive and relevant to the people that live there because they actually knew the people who made those histories!

Ireland is great and there are some nice plaes outside of Dublin city. We went to Kilkenny, Blarney and Wexford and all are worth seeing. Wexford is a beautiful sea coast town a bit south of Dublin. You can make a nice loop if you want to see Kilkenny.

I have also heard that the west coast is quite nice but we did not get there...yet.
