Dear
Just Think can there be Two Presidents, Two Kings for a country?
Will that country Survive without Turmoils and Chaos with Two of them?
Then How come the whole of Universe where our Planet earth is a minute part of it can sustain where even a fraction of an error / fault shall cause destruction, can take more than one God?
While the people just accept the findings of Science and without a question even though we do not understand all about it.
We are not accepting the ultimate reality inspite of seeing our ownselves mean Human Being, which is still a complex and best creation of God, which we have not understood fully.
So, it is time that we accept in the Oneness of God and He being the Only Creator and Sustainer of the Whole of the Universe.

First you asked "is there," and then you asked "could there be". I'd say no to the first, and yes (that is, "maybe") to the second.
Monotheists believe there is only one god. Problem is, this does not seem to cause most of them to acknowledge that other people are in fact worshipping the same god, but rather that they worship the real god, and those other people are worshiping some false god.
Then there are religions that worship a variety of gods and goddesses. Some exactly two, one male and one female; some dozens or even hundreds of them.
And some religions do not have a god, as such, at all. I am a member of the Ethical Culture movement, which is recognized as a religion but which does not worship a deity. Similarly with Buddhists, with whom we have a great deal in common. Unitarians leave the question open, and for many people -- Taoists, for example -- the question would simply have no meaning.
Still, it might be true that there is one entity which is beyond space/time, beyond the dimensions we are able to perceive, whether or not he/she/it would qualify as "creator" in any useful sense. Many philosophers and religious and spiritual people think this is so. They use metaphors like "we are all cells in the body of God" and even more complicated images (the Tree of Life of the Kabbalah, for example, where the background on which it is depicted is itself composed of three higher dimensions) to try explain or at least describe something which is quite beyond human language to effectively contain.
Language necessarily involves limits: every time you say something is this, you are saying there is such a thing which is not this. That's a limit which some would say cannot be applied to God.
This limit to language is one of the reasons we need symbols, as well. They take up where language fails.
While you're at it, contemplate the privilege of being able to discuss such questions with anyone in the English-speaking world through Yahoo! Answers.

Don't Christians believe in 3 Gods all nicely wrapped into one package?
Didn't St. Patrick use the 3 leaf clover to prove the Trinity?
Actually, Christians worship the Bible.
The Bible needs to put on a throne and worshiped.
Christians need to rise up and slaughter those that desecrate the Holy Book.

1) If i were to program in C Language a very COMPLEX program, but forgot to end the program with a ; (semi-colon)
Will it work???
If i leave it for a million years, and NOBODY is allowed to TOUCH it, will it AUTOMATICALLY EVOLVE a semicolon and start executing itself?
2) Human beings 'design' and 'fabricate' things, which DONT EVOLVE by themselves. The CAR did NOT evolve from the Bike... The Rocket did NOT evolve from the Aeroplane. Each time we invented something, there was great 'design', precise 'engineering' and accurate 'calculations' involved'.
Will these EVOLVE by themselves, if there was NO CAUSE that initiated it?
THE CAUSE HERE IS THE HUMAN MIND, THE HUMAN TOUCH OR IN SHORT AN EXTERNAL 'CREATOR' WHO IS DIFFERENT THAN THE CREATIONS.
The Entire Universe, without a CREATOR???
Almighty GOD is ONE, call HIM by any name. But it should be a Beautiful one WITHOUT any Mental picture.
What we say that there is ONE GOD means HE is the same GOD for Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Athiests, Buddhists and all mankind.
Because GOD is ONE and for all mankind.
Therefore, if you say ALLAH, ELI, ELIAH, BRAHMA, all refer to GOD. We can best understand this from the Hindu Scripture example.
Hindus say GOD is Brahma. Which if translated into English means 'The Creator' and if translated into Arabic means 'Khaliq'
Therefore if you call Almighty GOD as 'The Creator' OR 'Khaliq' OR 'Brahma' it is ONE and the SAME.
BUT...
The trouble arises when the Hindus ascribe features to GOD that are NOT worthy for GOD. For example, they say Brahma is the GOD who has 10 heads, so and so hands, etc...
And this goes against the fundamentals of Islam, Judaism and Christianity (As per the Gospel of Barnabas) and even True Hinduism itself (Vedas are against this)...
Therefore, All religions speak about Monotheism BUT the True essence of Monotheism has now remained in Islam only as...
1. The Church has fabricated the Trinity and mis-lead the Chirstians from the True message of Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him)
2. The Hindus do NOT read the Vedas and practice Idol worship which is against their own scriptures.
Ponder on GOD's various creations...
Does it NOT need a Creator?
Notice 'a' Creator... Because if it were 2 they would have definitely disagreed on something and such a disagreement will mean DEATH for all Creation... As they would fight and destroy things...
So what do you think about 3,4,5... 1000s Creators??? Is is feasible???
NO Organization can survive on 2 Final Authorities... The ENTIRE UNIVERSE surviving on 3, 1000s such so-called GODs???
Therefore, your heart will come to the conclusion that there is ONLY ONE GOD...
Can the CREATOR be similar to HIS Creation???
If we ascribe him human features, why cant HE be like a Dog or a rat???
Therefore, we have to accept that the CREATOR is NOT like HIS creation...
What does this CREATOR want from us???
Of course, the CREATOR wants us to 100% submit ourselves to HIS command...
Why???
If you dont follow the instructions of the designer of your TV, you will misuse it and spoil it...
THis CREATOR has the right to demand us to accept what HE asks us to do and what not to...
So follow HIS instruction manual which HE sent throughout the ages to guide mankind...
HE sent this message to Adam, Noah, Abraham, Jesus Christ, Moses (Peace Be Upon Them All)....
Each time HE sent a message, it was for a limited time and ONLY for those people... Till he sent the Last and Final Message that CONFIRMED the Authenticity of all the previous revelations and laid the foundation of moral, ethical, spiritual society...
The call to accept self-responsibility of your sins and be accountable for that...
The call towards REAL salvation...
The Last and Final Message of GOD...

Yes. I honestly think this is the truth. And the reason I think so is because of the history of mankind - as viewed from his quest to find God. So, so many people have come and gone through the ages and as time has passed they generally seem to have found God, and their perceptions of him have grown, their names differ because of their cultures and their socieities and the times in which they lived, but God has always been present in the lives of the human beings on earth.
Rather than conclude there is no God because of all the different conceptions people have of him, I choose to continue to work on improving my personal relationship with him. The reality is that every person can know God. For me God is my "Heavenly Father" who knows and loves me and you. The most perfect parent is patient with the child's perception of them.
The One I know in my life and in my heart is the One and Same One - for in his infinity there are many perspectives people have of him, he answers every single iota and teensy tiny flicker of faith. I truly believe this is the quest of all human beings, for the majority of all human beings one day ask the question: Is there a God? Can I know Him? How can I discover God? Why am I here? What is the purpose of life? and on it goes. Every one has to settle it for themselves in the end. But the mere fact all these human beings do this is another proof that God has already found them.
One creator? Absolutely.

If so, then it's message has been confused amongst the various religions as they are not all compatible with each other, and it is a worse problem if you include past religions.
On the other hand, there is no evidence to suggest that a creator or creators exist.

There is one God, whose image is difficult to get a good fix on. To connect better with this being, one needs to sharpen ones spiritual senses. Meditation/prayer, mind-body exercises, a good diet, along with not over indulging, can sharpen your senses to get a better fix on God. Then you can paint the image of God that would work for you. I don't entirely agree, with your description of God.

No. There is but one true God.
But, there are many, many false gods in the world luring and tempting people away from God's love and mercy.
Salvation of the eternal soul is thru the covenant of the New Testament and His Son, Jesus.

No. Many religions are polytheistic--they have more than 1 god or goddess.
