my boyfriends babys mom went crazy when she found out were together and really serious. so shes going crazy and trying to take the one thing that matters the most to him, his daughter. she said he cant see her and shes gonna move out of town and he cant know were she lives. okay. so easily i can say go to court and everything will be settled. but thiers more to the story. They had thier daughter in high school and both of them are still young so for finance purposes before the baby was born they both signed legal guardianship to her grandma,(who has really good insurance.) but hes been thier since day one and he buys her everything. Hes all sad and depressed and i hate it! i wish i can do something but we have no idea what to do. & ya he can easily go back to her, which is what she wants, but its hard to leave something you love and you know its great and you want to make it work. but i feel bad because i know how much he loves his daughter. so HELP!!
please.

he can ask the grandma but its his ex's grandma, so shes pretty much on her side and if she wanted to move away she'll probably help her.
and he said i wont see the baby and she insist that she hates him and she dosent care. but thanks for the answers that are so far written.

He should have thought about how much he loved his daughter before signing legal guardianship away.

If there was no court order for your boyfriend to have visitation, no court order for the child to remain in one state/county without agreement of both parents, then he's screwed.

I doubt the girl can move away with the child, since she gave up legal rights to the grandmother... otherwise, she'd be kidnapping.

This ex girlfriend is jealous and bitter and trying to do everything she can to get your boyfriend's attention. The best attention is to ignore her.

Perhaps your boyfriend can call the grandmother and ask about visiting the daughter. they probably need to set up a schedule for visits... if that is a possibility.

Otherwise, there is nothing he can do. He gave up his rights.

There really isn't much he can do. He signed his rights away and unless he tries to take the issue back to court, there is nothing he can legally do. These things happen sometimes, maybe once the mother calms down she'll come to her senses and realize that the Baby needs the father in her life if he's doing good by her. Other than that, just pray...that's about all you can do.
