No, that word sleep can be translated rest and know that Paul said to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord, even before Jesus came there was a place called Abrahams bosom or translated Paradise where every Christian went. Remember God said he is not the God of the dead but of the Living. There is no such thing as soul sleep. What good would that do, would that bring Glory to God. No, To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord immediately. Praise be to Jesus and the Cross at Calvery.
