It's in your own head. I forget Milton's precise words, but one makes their own heaven and hell based on the frame of mind.
Edit: what, no one here has read John Milton's "Paradise Lost"?
In the first book, he writes that "The mind is its own place, and in it self Can make a Heav'n of Hell, a Hell of Heav'n."
I'm not saying that one is crazy... indeed, far from it! I'm standing behind Milton's assertion that one's view on life is very important... an optimist in hell won't have nearly as rough a time as a pessimist in heaven.
Or, one may take the approach of philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre: "Ah! Such folly! Hell is other people."

This is a very good Quest en. The Bible says Hell is at the center of earth, the lake of fire witch is interesting because at the time the Bible was written man did not know the core of the earth was molten, As for Heaven this is the hard part because
although the Bible gives us clues it never says it is here or there. The best answer I can give U is, God is in heaven and God is everywhere so heaven is where God is. It occupies the same space as we do but just out of faze so we can not see it, or if God is in the harts of men and women then Heaven is there also. U have to understand God is not bound by time and space He exists in and out of all time and space. This answer my not be the best but it is the best i can give. one more thing with all mans knowledge if U put it on a ruler to measure it compared to what there is to know a billionth of an inch would not be small enough to measure it.

The heaven or hell are nowhere in the Universe but here on Earth itself. There is nobody Divine who keeps a record of your good or bad deeds. If you are a good person people will also be good to you and will respect you....that is heaven...but if you are a bad man, people around you will insult you and the law will punish you.....that is hell. You will receive the fruits of your good deeds or punishment for bad deeds in your life time itself. After your death, nothing is left of `YOU`.

Hell is other people - but then so is heaven.
Heaven and Hell are in your mind. Act out of Hatred and you are in Hell no matter how privileged and sheltered a life you lead. Act out of Love and Kindness and Heaven is carved out of Hell's despair - as Blake said.

Heaven is up in the clouds, as any number of Biblical quoates will tell you, and Hell is down in the earth, filled with fire and brimstone. Everyone knows that. Whenever Jesus spoke God, he looked up in the sky.
The Lord rides on a cloud." (Isaiah 19).
Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up hither!" And in the sight of their foes they went up to heaven in a cloud. (Revelation 10 and 11)
Project0 - anyone who has seen a volcano or hot springs knows the earth is molten underground.

In the spirit world, you will find heaven the further up you go.
And hell is the further down you go, in between are places called mansions, and they are all on different levels.
The nicer the person was, to the higher mansion they will go. And the nastier the person was, to the lower mansions they will go. there are lots of places in between heaven and hell.

Right here on earth..you can consciously decide where you want to be, heaven and hell and everything in between is a state of mind and spirit.
