The Greek relates that Jesus was the unique; one of a kind Son of God. Adam is also described as a son of God, but not unique.

That's where you've been misled. Jesus Christ has a Father--God Himself. God the Father has a Father and Him before.
Where there is a son a father must exist. The same holds true for Diety if it is true. And it is true for our Heavenly Father.
Adam and Eve, and all their posterity, are the sons and daughters of God. That includes you and me, kiddo.
