If you're connecting the PS3 up to an HDTV with an HDMI connection, then you'll need the HDMI cable, but those can be purchased just about anywhere. On the net you can get the HDMI cables for about $6-8.
If you want the extra controller you can buy one of those, personally you may want to wait for the dualshock3, coming in a couple of months, going to have rumble.
You can buy the extra usb charging cable, but frankly why bother, you going to be using both controllers at the same time all the time? Probably not, I wouldn't worry about that. Since you have PS2 games though, you may want to pick up the PS2/PS3 memory card adapter. One end is for the memory card and the other end is usb to plug into the PS3, allows you to copy game saves and data over to the PS3's hard drive.

I have the 60 gigabyte PS3 and I would recommend purchasing a HDMI cable as there is not one included with the unit. And the other person is correct you do not need to purchase a memory card, the unit with 80 GB has about the same capacity as 2570 playstation 2 cards. So you will probably never run out of space. And you may want to wait on buying the extra controller, Sony is planning on coming back out with a sixaxis controller with rumble sometime early next year if you can wait that long.

If very final myth needs a keyboard, i'm optimistic Sony does not require human beings to purchase a cumbersome keyboard and rather, make the main of the instantaneous bluetooth keypad attachment for the DS3. you need to use any USB or bluetooth keyboard and mouse with a PS3 yet often basically for chatting or cyber web purposes. Keybds are no longer yet a hundred% nicely matched with video games. PS3s are designed to be instantaneous (it is likewise the reason at the back of having instantaneous controls) and the under pressure connection is the alternative in case you have not got instantaneous community at living house. definitely, if very final myth is popping out in laptop platform, in basic terms purchase a pc version interest and use your keybd and mouse. that's, in spite of if that's popping out in laptop platform. i'm optimistic the photos could be an analogous.

No memory card. The 80GB is the amount of memory it stores, which is A LOT. To put it into perspective, a decent memory card is 32MB. 1028MB =1GB, so the PS3 holds about 32 memory cards worth of memory. You might want to get a spare USB cord for charging your controllers, but it's not necessary.

OH OH! if your going for 80gb, I just bought one for 499.99 CAD on dell.ca It came with 2 SIXAXIS Wireless Controllers, Motorstorm and HDMI Cable. Its a great deal, and there was free shipping. I'm not sure if it will work for US, if thats where you are from, but It is a great deal nonetheless, also they have a deal where instead of the controller u get NHL 08. As for the accessories, controller, HDMI or component cable. No need for memory card, its got 80GB!
Heres the link for the deals, expire Nov 2nd so hurry!
