Hislady -- with all due respect. While God is loving and kind, he is also very very harsh, jugmental, destructive, condemning.

These are apsects of His Nature that are undeniably shown in Human History and the Bible Record.

Parents discipline their children because they love them and need to teach them a lesson. It is the same way with God. He disciplines those whom he loves just like a parent would. There is no lack of love w/ God. God is love.

I believe each of us have "tares" in our lives, and God will burn away all of the offensive things in us, through His refining fire, and all of the impurities will be gone, and we will come forth as refined gold, pure. Anyone, who doesn't see the impurity within themselves, is blinded. We are all in need of God's refining power. Only those things which are offensive will be destroyed; disease, sin, pain, sorrow, death, etc.

I guess I'm alone in this belief, but I'm thankful for it!!!

I don't believe God IS harsh. I believe God is loving and wants the best for us. My God isn't a vengeful hateful Godl, He isn't something to fear. I believe that those thoughts that we'll go to Hell for this or that are for the most part man-made. You have to be pretty evil for Him to send your soul into the darkness.

NO, it's man. Man twists and turns the so-called word of God into something he can use to control others.

No. It's a lack of morals on the part of those who created him. They believed the only way to keep people in line was to beat them. They created god in their image.
