My husband was born and raised in Africa(Morocco) for 22 years, I joke that I am married to an African, then when people see him they are like, he is not African! I think it is funny that people think all Africans have to be black, or that all blacks have to be African.

It doesn't really matter to me, but I've often wondered why some would call themselves African-American. I don't call myself Scottish-American.

its not about what they want somewhere else...its about the fact that 99% were not born there so theyre just americans like all of us...no extra words are needed..
