Following Him.

That would, logically, have much in common with the religious beliefs and traditions J. followed. His living interpretations of them were highly personal rather than dogmatic. They were defined by living faith, awareness, empathy, and discernment of appropriate action regarding specific situations and specific individuals. Note the different answers given to indivduals seeking His guidance.

He was inclusive of and compassionate towards individuals of many religious practices, including Samaritans, Romans, various nonconformists who appear in the Gospels (and, for all we know, those with no religious practices).

He was intolerant of twisted manifestations of religious traditions and bad intent. He became angry when people used religion as an excuse to indulge in selfish behavior, and rebuked those whose practices clogged communion with the One, Who sent Him.

religion? I don't recall Jesus ever mentioning a specific religion.

God is just. God is loving. Based on those two ideas, Jesus can't be the only way to the father. God will bring to him those whom he chooses in ways he chooses. Ergo.......

This is a piece of the puzzle I don't get. The ideas of God is just and God is loving does not jibe with exclusive salvation for "Christians."

Am I "cherry picking?" No, I don't think so. Its an inconsistency I've be struggling with for a while.

What I REALLY don't understand is how certain Christians can be willfully blind to this inconsistency.

peace regards respects

According to Jesus, He is the only way to God. It was through His sacrifice that we are saved from the abomination we made for ourselves when Adam and Eve sinned. Jesus said it clearly in the Bible that He is the way, the truth and the light. "No one can come to the father, besides through Me."

Jesus would say he was inclusive of all people, but exclusive of all religions

Jesus spoke openly against any beliefs that contradicted Him and His teachings.

The only way to heaven and out of eternal hell is to believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.

Jesus didn't like other teachings, neither did charles manson but he didn't rant about it.

Believe what you want to believe, jesus was just another sooth sayer with a spot of luck on his side.

God is creator of ALL. So if Jesus was not All Inclusive, he was not God's son!

The people who made up the Jebus story and wrote it down made sure they declared themselves the only holders of the key to their own promises.
