I have just recently started to go back to church and I went this sunday and I sang a song for the on eyear anniversary of my church and usualy I am very shy to sing infront of people besides my family and friends but there were like 40 people I didnt know sitting before me and I felt so comfortable and I just sang and let it all out my arms were in the air tears were running down my face and yet I continued to sing so was this a act of God?

You are the one that had your arms in the air you are the one who was crying!
It was all you girl!
God has that affect on some people to help draw others nearer to him!
I am sure that day you were singing at church you touched everyone in that buildings heart and some of them drew closer to him threw the song you sang!

No, not really.
You just got really into it. I am somewhat shy too and one time I had to give a talk in Atlanta in front of about 1000 people or more and I felt like I was about to faint before I went up there. When I started talking, I just lost the nervousness and shyness and got into the moment.
Something like that happened when I was playing this one song with a band. No, im not in a band it was just one song.
Stuff like that happens sometimes and its really hard to understand. When you read books and information on psychology, you might find something out.
The calmness that you felt was the fact that you were doing something that you beleive in and you felt a sort of satisfaction of doing something right.
