have your vet look at it so they can put a proper bandage on and make sure she does not need antibiotics.

how did it come off?

I would not leave that sock on too long. Dogs are very similar to humans but also very different. The bacteria in the sock, even though it may be clean, could really harm the dog. I would put some antibacterial ointment on the wound and then don't put a band aid on it but buy some big band aids and gauze and rap it up for a few days. Try to keep her off of her feet and then take it off after a few days if it is not any better take her to the vet. If it is too bad it might need sewed back on.

You should treat it by taking her to the vet to make sure it's not infected or anything more serious, and so they can put a proper bandage on it to prevent said infection.

Vet vet vet!!!

they will be able to make sure you dog is okay. And even if you dont think it's that bad, they will be able to give your dog pain meds so she isnt in any more pain!

Taker her to the vets - you now have a legal obligation to ensure that your pets healthcare needs are taken care of.

She desperately needs vet care. These type of injuries are not uncommon, and they can cost a dog their legs. You really cannot treat it at home.

You shouldn't treat it, your vet should. Your dog will probably need to go on antibiotics if it's as bad as you describe.

How did this happen?
