just wash her down really REALLY good with some Flean Shampoo and comb her down with a Flea comb, i will pull off all the Fleas. Then get a Raid Flea Bomb and let it off in the area that she lives in. I just went thru this problem a few months ago. Be sure to keep her confined because you dont want her to spread fleas all over the house. Fleas will bite you and it itches sooooooo bad when they do, it worse than mosquitos.

Had this problem with a very young feral baby. He was ate up with fleas for the first 6 weeks I had him because every commercial flea remedy (powder, shampoo, drops) says NOT FOR USE UNDER 12 WEEKS. I tried some baths anyway, out of desperation, but it didnt help very much. I was horribly ashamed when I found out at the lo-cost neuter place, about a pill called Capstar, which kills all the fleas in a few hours. It cost 3 dollars, might be 5 by now. Then use Advantage or similar drops for a couple of months, until you are sure the fleas in the house are dead, & eggs have hatched and are dead. 3 months usually does it once fleas no longer have the host animal to feed from. Vacuuming a lot helps, too. You can sprinkle some garden stuff called sevin dust on the floor, leave it 24 hours and vacuum will kill alot of them, but im sure there is more modern remedys for the house. IF you allow the cat to go out, you will need to continue to use Advantage every month on the cat. AND, after a flea infestation, ALL cats get tapeworms, so you might as well get that pill (also cheap, but must know cat's weight) when you get the Capstar from a Vet or Clinic. I dont know if Humans can take Capstar but i bet YOU WISH! GOOD LUCK!!

Flea shampoos shouldn't even be used on adult animals, never mind kittens, because they don't work.
Stay far away from pet store flea products. Pet stores aren't licensed to sell the proper chemicals for flea treatment - anything you find in store is just going to be a basic pesticide that you can't expect to work.
You need to pop into a vets to get some proper treatment, like Frontline or Revolution - these can be used on kittens and puppies from 8 weeks of age. They also work, which is nice.
Don't use Dawn or any flea shampoos or whatever else people on here are going to suggest. Home remedies are a waste of time - fleas are TOUGH, they can't be got rid of by stuff you keep lying round the house!!

Revolution is completely safe and highly effective for cats of all ages. It's about $15 from your vet. It absorbs directly into the skin without leaving a stinky residue, and all the fleas and eggs will fall right off your kitty within a day of the first application. The vet recommended it for my kitten, and she's been flea-free ever since! You may want to confine her in the bathroom for a day or two so you can clean up the fleas as they fall off.

Advantage is the best for fleas. It's safe and super effective and can be used on a kitten at 3 months old.

Poor thing! Call up a local vet office and get some advice. The information is free. I would use a combination of flee shampoo and a flee collar. I think she is still a little young for frontline, I believe the age is six months before you can start using that, but I could be wrong.

I would suggest taking her to a vet, personally, but they do make flea shampoos and stuff for kittens. You could also try a small flea collar, maybe.
