I think that people worldwide have the opportunity to read the whole bible, they just pick and choose the things they wish to read. Most go to Revelations or Leviticus or most popular Psalms, and then preach the stuff they remember or like the most. Some mix up Shakespeare, the Bible and the prophecies of Nostradamus, quote stuff off the top of their heads, sound like idiots and create a bad impression for those who truly wish to make a difference in the world (lets just go ahead and say that everyone does this regardless of their good book Torah, Quran, etc.). The Bible is there for whomever wishes to read it. It is full of anecdotes, parables and rules by which a civilized society can live by, whether they choose to or not.

The Bible has not yet been translated completely into every language. In some. only the New Testament is available. In other (obscure and little used languges) none of it is available. So those people have to rely on a translation in another language.

But whenever a translation is completed, it contains the same New Testament books as found in all other Bibles. The Catholic church and the Orthodox church include a handful of "deutro-canon" (less then official) books in the Old Testament that are not included in all translations.

No, many people read the Bible according to their own religious system. Therefore, they concentrate only on the verses that back up their belief. That is dangerous!!!! They could be taking the Bible completely out of context. Then there are those who don't read but what they are told to. Therefore, schewing their view entirely. But there are places that don't even have Bibles still. We still have work to do!!!!!!! God Bless!!!!

The least of all: Americans

In countries where Christianity is repressed but still booming, Bibles are forbidden and so Christians want to read it all the more

do you read the whole Ku'ran? Torah? Book of the Dead? teachings of Buddha? writings of Starhawk? the list goes on and on, my friend.

Christianity is not the default position for at least 3/4 of the world.
