How did it make you feel?

Today makes 1 for me:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20071030071803AAvmiec

I was judged by someone who said that I present no evidence that I am a follower of Christ.

This is the same guy that posted this:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvIq.G.1kbEUetjtRT9aFkDty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071023171219AAiVU7b&show=7#profile-info-fe95a8230778bec6d2b8cb73b71aa77daa

Now, who buy God is qualified to judge? Have I acted (besides a few coarse jokes... heh) in a way contrary to the nature of Christ?

Does questioning my faith or doctrines mean I'm not a christian?

If I am not one then what am I? Should I just convert to a pagan path and be done with it since I am not a Christian?

... then again I guess you have to consider the source sometimes.

I just wanted to point this out to show why people think christianity is full of hypocrites.

Kel - being in his image is one thing but the only thing we can judge for ourselves is whether or not someone conforms to that image. Does that person show love for others, does that person lie, murder, steal, and worship other Gods?

Not for abstract items like disagreeing with that person's point of view.

Countless...

No matter if you are living the most Godly life imagnable or if you are the picture of hypocrisy and depravity...

people will find a way to judge you.

Look what people did to Jesus... He was perfect in every way, yet people thought terrible things about Him and hated Him...

these same people Jesus loved and forgave. We are to follow after Jesus in this, but I do not believe that it is OUR destiny to suffer or die, especially at the hands of so-called "fellow believers in Christ"

Perhaps a person may suffer because of a non-believer, but it should not be at the hands of a fellow Christian. It NEVER should be thus... although I am beginning to see this rising trend more and more.

Sadly, my experience in the Christian world has also been horrendous. I have even time and time and time again been prevented from living for and serving God because people in churches I attended through the years, thought so poorly of me. Oddly enough, the times when they were the most gossipy and the most cruel were the times when I was living a very obedient and holy life before God.

Unfortunately I get it quite a bit... if you think outside of the box as a Christian you are likely to get comments from other Christians about it.

I know it's just not nice to judge others...but if we're supposed to be in God's image and be just like him, then wouldn't that give us the right to judge others?? (guess I'm just being the Devil's advocate!)

I have no idea, but then I don't care. I don't look to people for approval, I'm only concerned with God's approval.
