A few days ago, I was in a very serious car crash, basically my car slid under a semi truck. No one was injured at all. I just walked out of my car. Everyone, the police, ambulance, everyone is dumbfounded as to how I just opened my car door and walked away.

I didn't even realize how bad it was until I stepped out of the car. I don't know how I survived.

I am not a deeply religious person, but something like this you know...it changes you. I had a cross and something of the Virgin Mary on my rearview mirror, and everything to the right of the chain was destroyed. Anyone sitting there would've been decapitated. Yet, everything on the left (myself included was okay) I also sprinkled holy water when I first bought the car.

Also my mom is convinced it's because God has bigger plans for me. I am a good guy, I sponsor a child, donate thousands each year, I secretly drop presents at womens shelters on Christmas, etc. My mom says it's because of acts like this that I am alive

I don't know what to think. I thought I was doing okay. I didn't cry or anything. The shock went away pretty fast, or so I thought. I decided to f it, and drive on the same stretch of highway where the accident happened. And when I got to the accident, I had a panic attack and couldn't breath and had to pull over to the shoulder for a few minutes.

OMG Chigga thats such a scary thing to happen and I'm so glad ur alright. Seriously I think it's coz of some miracle that u r alive and safe with no injuries. God sure does have some plans for u it's infact a very good thing that u did sprinkle ur car with holy water and maybe the rearview mirror indeed is way too powerful then u ever thot it wud be. It is like the Virgin mary was looking after u is all i can truly say. I'm a religious person and i trust god it's something no one can say for sure unless he/she experiences it. Now that u've gone thur such a life changing incident ur perspective is bound to change.

Good deeds always count and ur doing the social work unselfishly so it's somehow their ( the womens, childrens and the donations u make) blessings which affect u on a whole.

Just pray to god and ask for those unfortunate ones to be safe on daily basis.

Please be careful and drive safe don't let the fear come near u I know u must have felt horrible when u reached the spot but let it just be a memory only thing is don't let fear come near u the monet it comes u may take the lords name. All shud be fine :) take care and a big huge hug from me.

Wouldn't it have jest been easier to not have you crash in the first place? Why is it that people will pick some event, and decide that God must have been there for THAT event? I would bet despite your view that God was helping you out, you will continue to wear a seat belt. There is an old saying "call on God, but steer away from the rocks". I think this was just an accident, in which your car safety features, and steering wheel side (its on the left for a reason) saved your life, not God.

i had the same thing happen to me
it happens a lot(not crashes but near death)
i crashed off the road and into a tree dead stop etc.
i just grabbed a cd i made that day because my very first reaction was, they are going to tow this and i really like that mix
when i went to get more stuff out of my car the guy who towed it said something like, "i don't know how the person driving it isn't dead" based on how it was i guess inches on either direction would have done something (tree limb thru the windshield, another tree on the other side etc.)
none of it even phased me
i was just like, whatever
had an even worse crash that i just got out of fine
and i always find myself in situations where things happen that people say, you just missed getting smashed in the head or something else

KNOCK ON WOOD

it definitely makes you wonder
if you have a nice plan or if something is really looking out for you
in my case, i hope that something is very alert
because i keep walking/driving into bad spots

who knows, maybe i died in another reality
when you wake up from a dream you died in
maybe you did in another realm
and you awake as somebody else even with there memories
a constant flow of trading places

Congratulations. I imagine this really got your attention. To help you out a little, I would tell you that the sprinkling of water had nothing to do with it. Having a cross didn't do it. Crosses are not lucky charms, or amulets, which is a form of paganism. Mary is not God.
All power is God's, and what this is, is an example of His providential care.
I do seriously believe that there IS something more for you, but to find it, you will need to study the Bible, getting to understand Who God is, and what He wants for you.
I will not recommend any denomination or direction to you, except for this one thing: everything is Jesus. Seek Him.

Thankfully you were able to walk away - THANK GOD! I believe that God has a plan for each of us. Most of the time, we don't know what it is or understand the things that happen. But God knows. I don't know if the Holy Water or the Cross had anything to do with your safety - but again, you never know with God!

Some people survive where the odds say you should probably have died, while others die improbably. In a lifetime filled with events, statistical improbabilities do happen, some really good, some really bad. Sometimes good things happen to good people, sometimes bad things. The same with bad people. In neither case is it divine intervention, just the luck of the draw.

I'm glad you're okay.

It's natural to feel like there is a special reason for your survival; and if it motivates you to do a truly good work as a result, that is great.

but if you'll allw me to play devil's advocate, does that mean that everyone who dies in nasty accidents are somehow less valued? less worthy? good, decent poor people die all the time and rich, underhanded criminals-in-suits tend to outlive us all. I'd be wary of adding too much determinism into the world, but I see nothing wrong with being appreciative for the good fortunes you have experienced.

If you wait here long enough, an atheist will tell you it was science that saved you. You know, the design of the car, the angle you hit the truck at, etc. But in your heart you know that this was probably not a mere accident of physics that saved your life.

First of all, God IS giving you a second chance!

Secondly, those "religious" objects are nothing more than man-made materials, & if anyone believes that they have "magical" powers, that is idoloitry!

You have a second chance, seek the TRUE reason that you are still alive-not "religious objects", but the true reason you are still alive-Jesus Christ!

Pure luck. You should thank your lucky stars you weren't driving in Europe, with the driver's side on the right hand side of the car, then you wouldn't be able to tell us about your story.
