I am feeling better now, I can breath.
Is there anything other than counting things that can immediately help PTSD?

I see nobody's replying so obviously nobody cares.
I'll just have these imagines in front of my eyes by myself. I can't call my friends cause it's nighttime here.

Thanks Sian I'll try to do that. Sometimes I feel just so unworthy goign to snuggle up to something or doing something for myself, I feel like I'll get hit or hurt but I'm just remembering I'm safe now and breathing, thanks heaps. I'm on the internet because I woulnd't be able to actually talk, and drinking would only make me lose it more...

Call your doctor. And if this is for attention it is really sad. I have PTSD mildly and I don't do this **** so drink a beer and chill out.

Ya, cuz my life must be nothing but milk and honey, LOL. Work on your coping skills. Is this happening right now? Can you change anything? If not, what do you need to do to accept that your life is messed up? Drink a beer, smoke a joint, go to a support group, whatever works. But don't expect help from a computer.

A few things you can try which have helped me out before now. They don't always work but still worth a try. I always always have some of my favorite, soothing songs to hand to listen too, all song which were made well after the time that I flashback too. I carry some crystals and stones around with me, I find that by focusing on them, looking at them, counting them, just feeling them can 'ground' me. Turn on the TV to the news, find today's newspaper, anything really which has today's date on it. Find a health store or something and pick up something called rescue remedy. I recommend this for anyone who has panic attacks too. Call somebody, change your scenery - this doesn't even need to mean leave the house, even changing which chair you are sitting in can have a positive affect. Look after yourself, make yourself a comforting drink, snuggled up in you favorite jumper, anything that makes you feel safe and secure.

I know that this is beyond scary and very frustrating but please remember that so many people on here may not even be aware of what PTSD is, never mind what it is like to be going through a flashback. That probably has stopped people posting so try not to take it personally.

Call for more immediate help.. like.. a trusted bystander, teacher, councelor, co-worker, the police, or the hospital.
