You can do it by 2 ways:
1) Go to Start\run.... type: msconfig.... then go to the startup tab
and c where is this 'c:\windows\system32\printer.exe' thing and delete it or uncheck the box beside it.

2) You can download a program called ccleaner. This is a simple program that removes unused and temporary files from Windows machines. And allow u to set which programs to start when u start ur system. You can download it from this source:

see if you can start up in safe mode, continuing on to the operating system without your printer. Once there you stand a better chance of figuring out whats going on, as you can uninstall and reinstall hardware via plug and play from there.

*Thats just assuming that it really does have something to do with your printer as suggested by the file name

Might also consider tryng a system restore at some point prior to this becoming an issue.

goto start->run and type "msconfig" then in the opened window goto startup tab and uncheck the value that is "c:\windows\system32\printer.exe" , its all done,
another way is to go to your registry and find the HKLM->software->microsoft->windows->current version->Run
in this section all the startup programs are listed, delete the ones you dont want....

Go to- start - run - type msconfig - go to the startup tab in the dialog box - untick the printer.exe whatever, leaving the others untouched and click ok. it will want to restart. ok.

You have to figure out what is initiating it. Check your start-up folder first, then win.ini. If not there do start-run msconfig and look for it in your start-up files.
