my boyfriend of 6 months seldom calls me by my name,we have a long distance relationship, but he calls me everyday and says he misses me.I told him several times that I don't like it that he does not use my name. but he carries on not using my name whilist I always use his name . He is quite affectionate but I reckon if a person who says that he wants to be close to you and does not call you by your name is afraid of affection is not he?

My husband calls me hon, honey, babe, Lisa what ever he chooses. I would be unhappy if he never called me anything but my name. If your boyfriend is using terms of endearment than that is what they are terms of endearment, he does care.
He must be calling you something right? I hope!

Chances are he has some other girl names on his mind to and might show this affection towards all of you and doesn't want to use the wrong name in the wrong place. Or, it could be his way of showing his affection since everyone else in the world can call you by your name not by little pet names you have for eachother.

Unless he uses the 'b' word to refer to you or calls you other girls' names, I really don't see what the problem is... if you say he is affectionate and cares about you.... don't stress about it... actions speak louder than words.

Some people are just different...Im sure he dosent even realize that he is not calling you by your name, he just talks. Thats his personality.

maybe he just forgets? i dont say my b.f)when i had one ( name because i hardly thought that would bug anyone? so dont worry about it if he is affectionate then you have nothing to worry bout its obvious he does have feelings for you dont put your relationship on the rim just because of that = p
