With some exercise you'll be in shape in no time.
You definitely have the right idea. My trainer explained to me that fat cells cling to other types of nutrients in your body. Your body needs all those nutrients and as long as there isn't anything put into your body to replace the nutrient that is attached to the fat cell, no matter how much you exercise you cannot lose that fat. Once you take vitamins to replace the nutrient attached to the fat cell then your body can shed that nutrient/fat combo and then you lose that extra weight!
Good luck and happy weight loss! :)

The only vitamin that I have heard of that will help you lose weight is the mineral Chromium. It affects metabolism - helps the body burn fat. I checked at NatureMade's website, and it lists Chromium in their weightloss section. It also says that B vitamins can be very helpful to dieters because they supply energy. At any rate, taking vitamins is a good thing. I lift weights so I take vitamins. I take a multivitamin in the morning, and then later in the day I take one or all of the following: Calcium, B complex vitamin, Fish Oil, Chromium, and Selenium. Nature Made is a quality vitamin, but you can't find it in all the stores. Be sure to take a reputable vitamin as a cheap vitamin can do more harm than good.

In fact, on that page, I found a multivitamin made specifically for dieters -- NatureMade Diet Wise. That may be especially tough to find in stores (they have like 10 different types of multivitamins), but you can order it online. If you look around at several stores - even grocery store, you very well may find it. I usually buy NatureMade at Target, but they carry everything except the multivitamins. So I stop by my grocery store or Walgreens to get Multi For Him. K-Mart has NatureMade, too, and Walmart sometimes has some of it.

One last note: I break my B vitamins into thirds. The first time I took one, I starting shaking a bit and didn't feel too well. I looked on the bottle, and the label lists percentages thousands of times the daily average. I take Nature Made Balanced B-50, and it lists:
Thiamin 3,333%
Riboflavin 2,941%
Niacin 250%
Vitamin B6 2,500%
So I take a third of one of those a day, and it works great. One note of caution: it turns urine into quite a greenish tint.
Good luck.

There are several types of niacin, some are called flush free because they do not make you red as a beet. If you take a large dose of plain niacin you will look like you have a huge sunburn. It still works but I like the low dose real kind that I can see flushing out my capillaries. The B12 is not worthwhile if taken orally. The shot works and the sublingual kind does too. You destroy it in your intestines. If you are trying to flush our drugs forget it. Does not work. People take the niacin for several reasons but it is reported to flush out choresterol. The B12 gives you energy, basically. You can take them together, they are both B vitamins.

Not really, the Niacin can help with excess bile, but that won't loose any weight without exercise.
