believe that if 'human science' makes a mistake, it proves that all scientific data is false,
& that if a 'christan church or science' makes a mistake, the entire basis of faith still remains fact?

i believe that scientific study can be a form of worship and a way to better know the mind of God.

Most (if not all) of them, probably! The great thing about science is that everyone is constantly trying to find answers. The scientific method is one of questioning, testing and verifying. Mistakes can be made, but it's all for the sake of progress. Religion claims itself to be perfect.... which is it's first mistake... and it will never admit failure. Scientists will (usually) admit when they are wrong or they've failed or made a mistake. Whereas religions cover up the mistakes and hide it from the public to give the illusion of being perfect, infallable and pure. It's all a facade to get more people to buy into the B.S.

The first answer is amusing to me..... the one person who said that god doesn't make mistakes.

The christian god brought the flood because he regretted making humans because they were inherently wicked beings..... Doesn't regret imply one believing that they did something wrong or made a mistake or could have done something better? He believed creating humans was a mistake and he wiped all of them out and had noah & his family start all over again. Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't he also (after the flood) say that he regretted wiping humanity out... for the very same reason why he decided to wipe them out in the first place?? Because they/we are inherently wicked beings!?! He destroys us all because he feels we're a mistake and we're inherently "wicked"..... but then he says he'll never destroy us all again because we're inherently wicked beings.

I'm sorry, but i don't buybull from the bible.

I believe neither. A "mistake" in human science doesn't necessarily invalidate a theory. Some discarded theories gain new life when new data comes in. The Church also changes it's views with new knowlege, it doens't effect the tenants of the faith. Life is seldom "all or nothing" " black and white". Humans never stop learning and that is a "good thing"

are you implying that science has never "made a mistake"?

Hypothesis are tested and retested every day.....People refer to a trial solution to a problem as a hypothesis — often called an "educated guess" — because it provides a suggested solution based on the evidence. Experimenters may test and reject several hypotheses before solving the problem. It is not just "oops, we made a boo boo"

As far as the church, as you know the many different denomiinations within the Christian umbrella should teach you that the Bible or Word of God has been interpreted and misinterpreted for centuries, does that mean the the Bible is false? No, it means people take things out of context to suit their own lifestyle or some actually study and are guided by the Spirit to follow a holy life for the benefit of humanity.

I doubt many. God made science, just like He made everything else. Science is perfect, just like God's Word is perfect. The mistakes come when people get involved in either. We just do the best we can and pray God will enlighten us soon. I've been visiting R&S just a few months and already regret answering some questions the way I did. Needless to say, God is quick to correct.

where is the mistake, Jesus gave us our father's message, plain, pure and simple; man has a need to know all and sometimes, you just have to accept that we don't ; the universe was here without man and exists in harmony without the input of man on a daily basis , past , present and future. Knowing isn't living - live a life , be happy, help others, give thanks , these things we know; at the end of the road, no one says , I wish I knew more scientific facts or had more possessions or worked more hours

Science admits that it can make mistakes, that's why the scientific method is so successful. It doesn't claim to be infallible or divinely inspired like some Bible adherents might claim the Bible to be. It only takes one contradiction in the all infallible Bible for it to come down, at least in the view that it's divinely inspires and is free from error.

All science is not a mistake. Darwin's origin of species is a mistake. Millions and billions of years cannot be proven. Too many "what ifs" and "guesses" for evolution not to be a hot debate. Evolution itself asks for arguments because it is a theory and not fact as some wish to call it.

If you base your belief on the simple truth of the word of God, you will not make such mistakes. Only when man tries to change what is clearly stated does issues rise. And science does make many mistakes.

That makes absolutely no sense! Why would anyone judge all of science on one error? What does one church making a mistake have to do with the entire basis of faith? Your question makes no sense.

Not me....that would be irrational. Science makes some mistakes. But it would be extremely stupid to say that all science is false because of a mistake!!
