(((Deke))) No, I am who I am by the grace of God & to be truthful, I don't care what people think of me--I march to the beat of a different Drummer, always have.

If I fit a stereotype, that doesn't make it true for the entire group. I'm not going to change who I am just because I want to prove a stereotype wrong.

Gender stereotypes really bother me, but countless times I find myself filling the "typical female" role. At times it irritates me, but in the end I'm just being me. I defy a lot of the female stereotypes too, there's no reason I'd go even more extreme just to prove a point.

It would be a circular exercise for me, because I pretty well fit the stereotype for a non-conformist--anything that is "too" popular or taken to be conventional wisdom, I seem to have an innate ability to like or value it. So, if there were a stereotype of a non-conformist that was conventional wisdom, I would naturally be against that and then I have no idea where I would be!!

My brain hurts now.

No. I am who I am whether it fits into a stereotype or not. I am not changing for any reason unless it is to better myself. I don't care what others think of me.

WHY would I change what I am? I really could care less what people really think of me - - if they judge me without knowing me, then THEY are the fools....... never in a million years would I have any inclination to impress a fool - I just avoid them as best I can.

As Jimi Hendrix once said: "Im going to live my life the way I want to".

I am the perfect stereotype of myself. Attempting to correct it is actually a part of that stereotype so really there is no escape.

First correct the stereotype, then surrender the persona.

Yeah... only if it were negative.

Some stereotypes are okay.

That depends. If it was a BAD stereo type sure I would. If it was a good one or one that wasn't hurting anyone then no.

No, I would not.

I am me, stereotypically, unusually or any other way.
