What's up with most of these answers? Why does everyone suggest cutting your hair? As a guy, I think it's very attractive to see a girl with hair down to her knees... It's not something you see all the time & when you do see it, it's amazing. Most girls don't have the patience & time to take care of such a magnificent length. Also, at that length you have numerous options for styles & so many possible ways to wear it (braids, buns, etc.)
Whatever you do, or whatever style you find, just don't cut your hair... it just gives you another thing to be proud of. =)

Your hair must be beautiful! I am so jealous, mine won't grow.
Look through some style magazines or search on hairdressing websites.
In your place I would go mad doing braids and wrapping them in different styles:
Princess Leia, "headphones"
Evita (one long braid down the centre back, doubled up into a club at the nape of your neck)
the classic Heidi style of one braid over each ear, wrapped across the top of the head.
Experiment with "snoods" of ribbon or lace. Tie it up with a black velvet ribbon, over one shoulder, like the song Black Velvet Band.
If you are the patient sort, braid it at night, *tightly*, while still damp. Comb it out in the morning and you will have gorgeous ripply waves.
You should get one of those styling wire things and try all the styles in the booklet that goes with it; French braids etc.
Gather it up in a Gibson girl style on the top of your head. (Google Gibson girl for illustrations)
And remember to hot-oil your hair every month or two. Keep the ends trimmed so it doesn't split and tangle easily.
I envy you your hair. The answerers who say very long hair looks bad and lifeless have never seen Crystal Gale or Grecia Morales.
I bet you're beautiful. Don't cut it, unless YOU want to.

Go to a local hair salon to get some sound advice. My wife also has long hair, but I asked her to get it trimmed in a "V" shape at the ends, then perm the ends. This will give it some sort of unique style and would give the hair more body.

I don't see any problem with hair that long. Form what I know there are french braids, pony tails, and buns. Type long hair styles in google.

Personally, any hair longer than waist length is probably more trouble that it's worth. The weight may cause neck problems, as well as how to wear it. Long hair is just long hair. I know one lady who had a friend use Macrame' knots and put up her hair, but that was for a wedding.
If I may be so bold, may I suggest:

I think hair that long is really more of an amish/menonite look. Why don't you cut it?
If you're fond of long hair, I'd still get it cut to at least your waist. Get your hair stylist to shape it a bit, maybe a few inches shorter in the front, because I think that looks a bit more fashionable than a straight cut. Then it looks like you maintain your hair style a bit.

If you cut it, do it gradually. Alot at one time will def. cause a you to have a panic attack.lol. Do a few inches one week, then so on and so forth. Layers are a great style. So versatile. Layers and hilights could make a big difference.

you will be able to do soooo much more with it if you take off at least 20 inches. i have never seen ANYONE who looks good with hair that long. you will look so much more stylish and up-to-date if you cut it (not short, but at a reasonable length..maybe a little past your bra strap). and, you can definitely donate that hair to locks of love and help people who are sick and don't have ANY hair. i know it's hard to let go, but you'll thank yourself in the end.
