or both?
Bible-fundies seem to have equal abhorrence to both the Catholic Church and science.
come to think of it, seems like they have extreme abhorrence to ALL things that don't agree with them!

clarification: Is science the biggest enemy of Bible-fundies, or is it the Catholic Church that Bible-fundies feel so much abhorrence?

notice that I never address Bible-fundies as Christians. I address them in their proper name --- Bible-fundamentalists, a.k.a, Bible-fundies.

The truth is the strongest nemesis of fundamentalism. And since both science and the Roman Catholic Church have truths that some fundamental protestants don't want to hear, I guess they would both be seen as enemies.

I don't know what fundies are... never heard of the term. Oh, I guess you mean fundamentalists. Well, I do appreciate the fact that the Original Gospel is still read in Catholic churches... that's a good thing. Although I'm afraid that all Christians have a tendency to favor the Pauline Gospel over the Original Kingdom Gospel. There is a difference you know.

Christian's only have one real enemy, Satan. You managed to target Christians and Catholics, but you left out non-believer's or atheists. Their biggest enemy is "wilful ignorance."

Science is the biggest threat to them not Catholics. Catholics are merely one of their favorite targets for bashing.

I am a Born again Christian and I embrace true science. I have an applied science degree as well.
Just because I don't embrace evolution does not mean I reject science. It's a theory I reject as not being truth.

I abhor neither science nor the Catholic church.
Neither one threatens my beliefs.
