Blood banks generally do not pay for blood/plasma donations to discourage people from lying to get paid for their blood.Blood used for in patient transfusion are mostly donated on a volunteer basis. FDA rules state that blood used for transfusions cannot be "bought" from any donors.

However there are some plasma center who pays plasma donors. Those plasma however are used as raw materials in making some pharmaceutical and cosmetics products. Some blood banks may also pay for some blood donors but those blood are mostly used for research or other scientific purposes. There are also private facilities who arranges paid donations.

The price varies depending on where you are where every facility has set prices. For example in US, you may be paid 15-20 dollars per visit for plasma donation.

Any blood bank. Just look in the yellow pages. They do have qualifications as to age, weight and what sort of medications you're taking. Just ask when you call them.
