How medical issues are handled in relation to driver licensing varies widely depending on where you live. You'll need to contact the local agency that issues driver's licenses and ask them this question directly to get a final answer.

On the subject of insulin use, if you would prefer to not have to use insulin, it's thought that having to use it "or not" can be controlled by diet and exercise for some people. Maybe you can ask your doctor if this is the case for you.

Shouldn't be to big of an issue. I have a friend who's on the local Fire Department and they still let him go into burning buildings even though he's on Insulin shots. Just make sure you take your shots when you are supposed to and things should be good.

I am a insulin dependent diabetic and live in Texas. I don't know that they have ever asked me, if they did I would have told them, they have never said anything. You just have to be careful that you don't get a low blood sugar while driving. Keep some hard candy in your car in case you find yourself in that situation.

It totally depends on your doctor. Normally, being on insulin is not anything that affects "the safe operation of a motor vehicle". Ask your doctor if it is a condition you need to report. It probably isn't.

You need to get in touch with DVLA and they'll review your medical details - you can continue to driver until they've completed their review.

It's all done on a case-by-case basis, but you won't be instantly be ruled out because you use insulin.

You need to inform the DVLA or DMV depending on where you live, if you dont and then you have an accident your insurnace company can use this against you to void you cover. I dont tell my insurance as the DVLA know that i had a transplant and they said i was fine to drive.

Rules vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. You will have to ask your local Licensing branch. They may or may not pull your license. Go in with as much medical back-up as possible.

As for not reporting it...don't do that. Withholding information like that can lead to even more serious consequences once it comes to light. In this case, I am referring to both Criminal and Civil prosecution.
