As often happens, it's a last name used in both Italian and Spanish speaking Countries (possibly Portuguese, also).

Both languages, spanish and italian, have a common root language, Latin, so the correct answer would be that Torre is a latin name, and Joe Torre is an Italian American. If the Dodgers do hire him, it will be his 2nd job with a southern CA baseball team. The first? Announcer for the Angels when the games used to be broadcasted on KTLA in the 80's.

Paris;
The name "Torre" can be either Spanish or Italian, but as for Joseph Paul Torre, he is 100% Italiano. The main clue is that he was born in Brooklyn, New York. Another clue is that he also carried the Olympic Torch in Florence, Italy during the 2006 Winter Games in Torino.
Addendum to a privious question: The Anaheim Station is at 2150 E. Katella Avenue, basically across the street from Angel's Stadium, and is served by both Metrolink's "Orange County Line", and Amtrak's Los Angeles to San Diego "Pacific Surfliner". It is 2.6 miles from Disneyland

I have seen both Italians and Hispanic with Torre. But it looks like we are going to see a lot more or Joe Torre here in LA if he does not get traded off for some hair brained trade.

Well, Carlos de la Torre; Cameron Diaz's first boyfriend was...eh?? Hispanic???? IDK
Frankly and honestly, I don't know...but the name could be Spanish; according to Carlos (instead of the Italian Carlo).
Edit: Joe Torre is an Italian American.
