I once attended a church called "The Gathering". I did it because I liked a girl who was a member. Anyhow, I went to these meetings and saw people speaking in tongues and this kind of thing...it struck me as strange yet I tried to remain open minded. Then one day the girl told me that she heard one of the ministers talking and basically he said this church was a "sweet deal" for him. Lots of money, easy work...he was a con man acting as a minister. Personally I wouldn't deny anyone's beliefs but this soured me to Christianity at least Christianity via a church. I think the Bible contains wisdom but I think men have added a lot of fear to keep people in line. In studying various religious texts I find that the wisdom in the Bible parallels the wisdom in other religious writings. I think the main embarrassment comes when former Christian fundamentalists realize that the "truth" is all around us - in other religions and their writings, in nature, in philosophy and Christianity does not have a lock on it. To me the big problem with Christianity is that some interpretations say their interpretation is the only valid view of God and creation which to me is total nonsense.

No. The only word I spread is what I know for sure.

Gods 10 commandments are good. Believe it or not why not use them what can it hurt?

The devil is evil. Walk away from temptation of evil.
God is good.

I feel so embarrassed that it is no joke!
But, hey I'm still spreading the truth!!! The way it is! I just couldn't fool anybody anymore! My secular morals won't allow me now that I know the real truth!

Yes, I bought into it big time, but I shrug it off as the ignorance of youth.

I feel very certain that you never knew the Lord. If you had known Jesus, you could never, never make this statement.
