I too have read the "big 3" Bible, Torah, and Qu'ran....

I too understood the words, but unfortunately, they were rather boring, and i still didn't believe them...so i'm proof that all 3 are right?

I guess i'm proof either way...if i had read them and claimed to believe them, i'm proof that they are right....

It's a circular argument. "reverse psychology"... if I tell you that "only truly spiritual people will understand"... it puts people in the position that in order to be considered "truly spiritual" than you must understand AND believe. It's a good advertising tactic, but only drives those who really want to be part of the "in-crowd". So they try to make it seem complicated and then when you read it and say "I understand this"... they give you a pat on the back and say the "the Holy Spirit gave you understanding" and it makes you feel good. I've seen this time and time again. Yet, if they stopped to realize it for one second... if it's the Holy Spirit, WHY would you need the Bible at all? Wouldn't this Holy Spirit drive you in the right direction if you had it with you all the time? And why do so many have different understanding of it, but get upset when someone who doesn't believe claims they do understand it? It's a circular argument they've made and they don't know how to get out of it.

There isn't a single religious writing out there that states "well, only part of this writing is true and those other guys have more truth than we do". It's bad for business.

You claim you can read the bible very clearly & know it without believing in God, NO YOU CAN NOT, Since you are not a True believer, Then you are only using a carnal mind, & a carnal mind can't understand the spiritual things of God, Yes you can claim you know it, but you have no revelation of God's word, Because it takes the Holy Ghost in a Believers life to lead & teach him God's word, The bible says when the Holy Ghost is come he will lead you into all truth & teach you all things.

If only believers could understand god, then christ (who came to save the sinners and unbelivers) would have came for nothing. Read the book first as an imperfect History of a race of people. Read it as a collection of Poems and knowledge passed down from one gereration to another (Purly secular knowledge), If god wants you to see more in it, he will show you. If not just enjoy the book as a book and dont fret the small stuff.

Mainly to see what all the fuss was about huh, that don't sound to open to me, Jesus Christ came to earth and Died on an old rugged Cross for you and me, when you are anywhere and you see a cross doesn't it remind you of Jesus. In the book of Hebrews 10:16 the bibles that Jesus wrote it in our hearts and minds. Thats why the Cross reminds you of Jesus. The Cross paid the price for your Sins. If you will admit you are a Sinner. Jesus was a Perfect Sacrifice, once for all mankind. Now all we have to do is Believe on him. Its hard for some people to let go and just believe in something that will take over their life. Jesus wants to be a part of your life from the inside out. Not the outside in. He will help you even control your emotions and your thoughts, this will give you such a peace of mind it is unexplainable, yes you will have problems, but when you have Jesus on the inside the same problems don't bother you like they do a nonbeliever. You can be saved to day and become Born Again if you believe, If you want Jesus who gave his life for you on that cross to move into your heart. Just Pray this simple pray of faith, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

The problem, is with the few. Sometimes people misrepresent their faith or say things that are incorrect. The bible teaches that salvation is for everyone, that would indicate that you are just as capable of reading and understanding what it teaches.

Paul says that the scriptures will be foolishness to anyone that reads it unless they have the help of the Holy Spirit in their understanding.

Once they have the Holy Spirit in their lives it is no longer foolishness.

Obviously you read it saying, 'Yeah, right' while you read it. The Spirit of God was not there to help you. You have to ask for that first.

How long did it take for you to read all 3000 pages?

Yes, I am sure that you can understand it, but did you get the full meaning of everything that you read? Probably it's not just understanding, but it's also believing and having faith that what you read did happen. Like you said, you read it and you don't believe that any of it happened, that is probably it. Having faith in what you read could be what they could also be meaning.

We are talking about people that believe in a god that was once pleased with animal blood sacrifices and then needed the blood of Christ to wash sins......what more can you say....don't ask them to make sense
