You state that your dog is listless, though it sounds like he is lethargic, (just flopping down and laying around). You also state that he has thrown up at least two times...this is not a good sign. One of the greatest risks with a pet that is lethargic and throwing up is dehydration. Is he taking in enough water? To see if he is already dehydrated, gently pull the excess skin at the back of his neck up, if this "snaps" back down quickly then he is not yet dehydrated, however if it goes back down slowly he is already dehydrated. If this is the case you need to get him to a vet immediately, especially if he will not take water on his own. However if he is, do not let him drink a lot of water at one time, this will only make him throw up again. You also mention that he is "messing" on the floor, I'm assuming that this is not normal for this dog.
I highly suggest that you take him to the vet regardless. Better safe than sorry, Remember animals generally are feeling much worse than we are when showing it. The survival instinct keeps them from showing that they are feeling ill until it is pretty bad in most cases as animals who show weakness are generally the ones who are in the most danger from predators.
At the very least check for dehydration and make a call to your vet. You vet who is familiar with your dog would be the best judge of what needs to be done.

Ditto what others have stated a few full meal! Can you find a pharmacist who will combine up this antibiotic in particular for some one in every of your weight and gender? It can be referred to as custom compounding and some pharmacies will do it, mainly unbiased pharmacies. Medical professionals hand out anti-biotics without relatively knowing the terrible aspect results typically. Or, worse, they do not care. After you are completed taking this anti-biotic be certain to have some yogurt or in any other case take what are referred to as probiotics or else you'll get some nasty effects too. You perhaps able to ask the health care provider for one more anti-biotic if the uti still isn't long gone. Doc'll more commonly say to preserve taking what you're taking unless the end of the sequence although. Ordinary Western sledgehammer treatment (the place you utilize a sledgehammer for a job that an icepick could were used for.)

Strange as it may seem, dogs ccan get exactly the same illnesses as humans! Take him to the vet for a definite diagnosis. It could be something completely different, from what you say I don't think it is flu. Make sure you tell your vet all the symptoms, make a list if you can't remember everything, when it started, etc.

Dogs can get sick like humans but that does not mean that they need to go to the vet. Usually, a "cold" will pass on its own. You should bring your pup to the vet if:
- It continues to throw up for more than 24 hours.
- It's behavior starts to change.
- The color of vomit changes from food color to red (may be internal bleeding).
- The pup starts to lose a good deal of weight.
- Other problems such as hives, seizures, lethargy, etc. are noticed.
If you are ever in doubt, call your vet. They can give you advice over the phone for free.
Good luck!

Dogs don't get the "flu" like people, not something that passes on it's own. Dog's don't lose their appetite without a very good reason.
Please take him to the vet. He could have a serious illness like Parvo, or he could have eaten something poisonous or sharp and he is having a hard time passing it.
Two days is more than enough to let this go if he is not improving. With people you can let it go a week, maybe go to the doctor after that, but since the dogs can't tell us what's wrong you must assume the worst and get professional advice.
Sorry your dog is sick, I hope he is ok.

No one can know what is wrong with your dog. It could be anything.
The only person who can help you is the vet. So take your dog to the vet as soon as possible.

There are a few different varieties of the flu in dogs. Call the vet and see what they think. Some varieties can be more dangerous than others, so better safe than sorry.

Yes they can ...
What is canine flu?
Canine influenza is a newly identified respiratory illness of dogs. It is caused by a virus which is closely related to the horse flu virus. Because canine flu is an emerging disease, dogs have no natural immunity to it. Nearly all dogs exposed to the flu virus will get infected, but not all will have clinical (that is, visible) signs of the flu. Therefore, even dogs without clinical signs can pass the virus to others because they may be infected with it.
What should I do?
Because of the ease of transmission, we recommend that you keep your pets away from dogs with cold-like symptoms, and do not allow them to share toys, food or water bowls with other dogs. Owners should keep any potentially sick dogs away from other dogs and public situations
