Why is Nutrition Important to Skin and Coat Health?
Nutrients such as protein, fat, vitamins and minerals play important roles in the skin and coat health of cats. Skin and hair is used to prevent things from leaving (such as water or heat) or entering (such as viruses and bacteria) the body.

The hair coat is composed almost entirely of protein. If your cat’s diet doesn’t contain enough quality protein, her hair may fall out or become dry, weak and brittle.

Skin is made up of flat cells tightly packed together. These cells have tough membranes that are composed of proteins and fats. Without proper nutrients, cell membranes weaken, allowing water to escape and bacteria and viruses to enter more easily
Essential Amino Acids and Fatty Acids
Proteins are found in both animal-based and plant-based ingredients. Animal-based proteins contain all the essential amino acids cats need, whereas plant-based proteins may contain only some. Cats need the nutrients in animal-based proteins for the best of health.
Unfortunately 20-25% of domesticated animals suffer with some type of skin condition. Sores, rashes, eczema, dry/itchy skin or cuts can greatly reduce your pet's happiness and well being. If left untreated, these symptoms can progress into serious bacterial infections that could be detrimental to your pet!
Imas and other foods have the correct vitamins they need to keep a healhy coat. If it needs to be tended this is a good product below and an explanation of how pets are effected.
Dogs and cats suffer from many problems which can affect their skin. It's important to understand that skin is an organ, just like the liver or kidneys. It functions as a barrier to protect the body from infection and external toxins. And just like humans, good health and proper function of the skin is dependent on the other organs that make up your pet's body.

You may not know it, but the antibiotics normally prescribed to treat various skin conditions in animals may not work. They also prohibit your pet's immune system from doing its job, which over time, dramatically weaken your pet's immune system and make him susceptible to many life threatening illnesses!

The good news is, there is now a safe and clinically proven effective solution to your pet's skin condition!

The Natural Solution is Dermaxol

Fats can also be found in both animal-based and plant-based ingredients. They are incorporated into skin cells as fatty acids. There are two essential fatty acids for skin and coat health. Linoleic acid and arachidonic acid maintain skin and coat condition in cats. Without them, cats may experience a dull, dry coat, hair loss, greasy skin and increased risk of skin inflammation. Both of these are found in animal tissues like chicken fat, whereas vegetable oils such as corn and soybean are rich in linoleic but do not contain arachidonic acid. Omega-3 fatty acids, another type of fats, are found in vitamin-rich fish oils. Iams Company research has found that the fatty acids in fish oils help promote excellent skin and coat health.
Good luck

Keep your cat hydrated. The only really successful way to ensure this is to feed canned food - or a raw diet.

You can add fish oil to the diet. It's not only good for skin and coat but it can help with hairballs.

Grooming - daily brushing.

It might indeed be fleas. Or it could be that your kitty has a problem with dry skin. In which case, adding oily stuff to her diet should help.

Good luck!

Sorry to tell you the bad news - it isn't dandruff, it's flea eggs. You need to get a flea-collar and the bits will stop appearing.
