Muscle is about 22% denser than fat, therefore in the same volumes muscle is 22% heavier than fat.

It depends how fat and how much muscles you have. But if you are asking how much both weight and which is heavier then I think muscle, because the fat have less molecules.

So a pound of muscle takes up less space (volume) than a pound of fat.

Likewise a cubic foot of solid muscle weighs more than a cubic foot of solid fat.

yes, muscle is more dense, but fat generally takes up more volume.. so when people argue that building muscle will make them put on weight, it doesn't make sense because muscle will have the result of burning fat.. building muscle is almost never a bad thing..

yes, but you can't really put on muscle while losing fat since you need fewer calories than maintenance to lose weight and more calories than maintenance to gain muscle. So if you are hoping that all the extra weight you've put on during your fad diet is muscle i wouldn't count on it

maybe but a lot of muscle weighs less than a lot of fat carrying tat muscle is excise it self. In short don't get a lot of fat cause it's light get more muscle it pays off in so many ways.
