why do people think that scientists are always so right? that what they say is the eternal truth about the nature of the universe. go check out www.ooparts.com and see evidence that proves they do get faulty perceptions of scientific principles too for instance there is a hammer that is encased in rock! the metal content cannot be duplicated by our modern technology and the handle was wood but now it is petrified. so it tells us two truths-either modern man is older than what science perceives through evolution (we should be monkeys that long ago since for things for petrify and become stone takes millions of years). or fossilization does not take as long as scientists are perceiving it to take. also 1000's of years ago everyone knew atlas was holding up the earth on his back, and that it was the center of the universe. 100's of years ago everyone knew the earth was flat and 150 years ago that light was instantaneous and that it took no time for it to travel from one part of the universe to another. DNA is EXTREMELY complex...even a 5% difference of chromosomes and code structure constitutes an enormous difference. it is not proof that we were once like them, only that we are similar to them. and that is easy to see. dinosaurs did exist and are described in the Bible in a few places all you have to do is Google it. and paleontologists have discovered that most true dinosaurs were related to birds rather than reptiles and even depict them as having feathers which more than a few species have been found in fossils with feathers. so here is a scripture you may like. Genesis 1:20-23 And God said, "Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living and moving thing with which the water teems, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. God blessed them and said, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth." And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day. well anyway, great question! go and check out that website i mentioned above you'll love it!
oh by the way there are ancient stone reliefs (carvings) of men and dinosuars together...weren't they discovered in the 17 or 1800's? then how did ancient man walk with them? which...of course...is what is portrayed in the carvings.

If I remember correctly we are only a short hop from many critters. Oh the difference that 5% makes.
What I find funny is that you expect us to accept your logic when you cannot grasp ours.
Try this on. If we are right God created everything with the faux age, as I call it, then all you get with your test is a constent wrong answer. This proof takes faith in your calculations and we know from the past that science has always been under change and improving. So why should we assume that you have it right now? God tells us in the Bible that he will make the wise but a fool before him.
Science should prove that stopping deviant behaviors (forbidden in the Bible) would stop most if not all STD and we would live in peace. Yet here we are living in an enlightened hell.

Religion teacher ? First you have to learn the Spirit.... The bible isn't specific on such things.. Genesis is a very long event, we don't know how long "literally" God took to create the earth... Six days is spiritually , a day for God could be eons... Faith is what most non-believers lack.. Proof ... God gave us science.... God gave us life, be thankful and Love one another... Seek Jesus and I guarantee he will give you answers
By the way... there is no evidence of us being super monkeys.. and if we had evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys running around..wouldn't they have evolved into...US... Yikes !! I promise you I an not a SUPER MONKEY and the truth is with Christ..

i am a devout christian and a science teacher in a christian school. i teach both evolution and creation theories. i personally believe it lays somewhere between the two. i would prefer to teach intelligent design theory which actually combines the two. god created the world and people and animals so we come from the same basic materials. hence the 95% dna match it is the 5% that is important. the earth being 4.6 billion years old there actually is no real evidence to back this up. time is different for god a day to him could be millions of years to us.

On the subject of DNA being very similar: Don't you think if you had found a good solution to a problem you'd carry on using the same solution whenever you were faced with the same problem? Therefore this doesn't prove Evolution. It is still called a 'Theory' isn't it? I just think it's so funny that people get so 'dogmatic' about science as if it has & can prove everything.

I understand that the earth is really old. I don't think the bible is meant to be used as a science book. It has some history but also has 'stories.'
We share many characteristics associated with other life, yes I understand this too. I don't believe natural selection as in I came from a monkey but does hint that we came from a similar source at some point in our past.
I won't pretend to know how we were created. Who knows, maybe God created us through an evolutionary process?
I'm open to ideas as I don't believe the bible explains it but rather summarizes our spiritual beginnings.

I would like to read the answers but I fear I already know what most will answer [due to having seen such answers here before].
One group holds to the idea that evolution did happen but that it was god's way of creating everything.
The other group holds that all the evidence of evolution, the age of the earth and the universe, etc. is false evidence planted by satan to confuse humankind.
If there's another christian answer to this question I would definately like to hear it...

What is there to think if God created everything seen and unseen. Nothing proves the evidence of evolution. The bible tells of Dinosaurs that lived in the days of Job which is after the flood so to say millions of years ago is very wrong. Just think what if your thinking is just leading you more and more away from the truth.

Hmmm you havent offered any proof. But yeah the thing about monkeys (chimps specifically) is true. But then again we also share 57% of our DNA with cabbages so its not as big a deal as you make out!

My answer is so what? And that is accepting what you claim as proof. I am a couch tater and love the NG and all those channels, even when I disagree with them, none has shown me proof yet.
If it's true it's still all God's creation. I'm going to give you a link, if you will read this very interesting discussion, you will
understand why I believe they can all fit
together. Jack tells it in plain English.
