I am a Chinese college student.How can I improve my English?

Definitley hangout with English speaking people, practice makes perfect. Listen to English songs and watch English movies would help too. I came here from Hong Kong and that's how I learned English.

Hey.I am a Chinese student too.
I listen to the radio,preferrably BBC World Service,before I sleep each night. Take note of the accent of BCC World Service.
Reading is a very good and relaxing method of improving your English. Reading not necessary refer to novels,journals.Reading takes many forms--for example you can read up advertisements.
Alternatively,you can play games like hangman, crossword puzzles and other games to improve your English.Trust me,they are effective.
It's good to watch Hollywood Movies with only English subtitles on,that way,it forces you to learn English.
But no matter what happens, the journey to improving English is a continuous and gradual one.If you don't improve greatly,always give it another try!(=

If you mean speaking, it is forever a struggle no matter what your native tongue is, as we imbed our native tongue language sounds into our heads when we are very little, around 3 or younger, so accents are hard to change, You can work on it, but be very patient with yourself. If you mean in writing grammar, I was an elem teacher and discovered that people trying to write essays etc in English have a hard time, I don't know why, but writing seems to be a hard one to conquer if your native tongue isn't English, I think it is the grammar structure, Don't give up, just be patient. If you notice adults around you have lived here for 20 years and still speak with a strong accent. It comes into the brain as an infant/toddler.
