just look at the mental damage that the Bible has caused to these poor Bible-fundies!

because of the Bible, these Bible-fundies believe the earth is only 6,000 years old, and they don't believe that dinosaurs existed as well regardless of the dinosaur fossils shown as evidenced to their existence!

Bible-fundies also believe that there's going to be a rapture that's going to happen where they will all fly to heaven and meet God.

what now? there are very few mental institutions compared to the mentally-challenged Bible-fundies who are in desperate need of mental help, how can those mental institutions accomodate all of them?

Didn't you know? The big, bad Catholic Church had nothing to do with compiling the canon of Scripture. That was the True Christians, who lived before Constantine invented Catholicism. They carefully preserved the KJV that dropped from heaven into their trustworthy hands. But the Catholic Church stole it from the True Christians and kept it under lock and key for 1500 years. Then Martin Luther stole it back and gave it to the people. The True Christians came out of hiding and claimed it as rightfully theirs. The big, bad Catholic Church had to write its own Bible.

No, wait ... it went like this:

The big, bad Catholic Church had plenty of copies of the Bible in every language but hoarded them all, and if a True Christian innocently took one home he was tracked down and killed, and everyone else who had taken a look at it as well.

No, wait ...

Jewish people wrote the Bible (Luke the gentile physician was secretly Jewish), the big bad Catholic Church stole it from them ...

No. Wait.
Some fundamentalists hate the Catholic Church so much that they will never, ever admit their precious Bible was tainted by Catholic hands. So they revise history to suit themselves, just as they interpret Scripture to fit their preconceived notions. It's a habit they've acquired. They owe at least a nod of thanks to Catholic hands -- painstakingly and laboriously hand-copying and preserving Scripture down through the ages -- for the fact that they even have a Bible to thump.

Talk about biting the hand that fed them.

Please do not blame Catholics. Surely you are correct that the Bible was written by the Church and Canonized by the Church by the authority of Christ to the Church. When the Church wrote and compiled it in the late fourth and early fifth century it was meant to be read within the community of the Church. At the time there were only Catholics who claimed Christianity.
The Reformers corrupted the meaning of Scriptures starting in the sixteenth century with the heresy of "Sola Scriptura" (Bible alone) suggesting that each person is qualified as a theologian regardless of intellect or training. the fruits of such heresy are the exponentially increasing schisms within their groups dividing the Church and confusing the most basic theology including the Gospel message. Those carrying this heresy to the extreme are the "Bible Fundies" who are being deceived by false teachers and prophets just as the Bible prophesied and are in danger of being those the Bible speak of as crying "Lord, Lord" at judgment. May the Lord have mercy on them.

No, because without the Roman Empire, the Religion lives on, although corrupted and treated like fiction, it survives because of the way, the truth and the life.

when the Catholic Church compiled the Bible, they didn't foresee that it will be hijacked from them and will be twisted by these heretics that you now call Bible-fundies. so it's also a shocker to the Catholics how these heretics have managed to twist things to their own advantage and use the Bible against the Catholic Church, the one and only original Christian Church. notice how they hijacked the name "Christian" as well to pretend that they are the real Christians.

by the way, the Bible that those fundies possess now is not the original compilation of the Bible. it is the partial and incomplete version of the Bible.

good to know your history well.

First the facts.
The catholics never gave us the bible but they will try to tell you they did which is lies.
Also dinosaurs did exist on earth and they even lived after the flood. See Job chapter 40
Yes there is going to be a day when Jesus Christ shall return for His true Church His bride and guess what it will not be the catholic church the way it is now.
About needing mental institutions i do not agree but prisons you need for the catholics priests who are pedophiles and claim to be the real church. Look at the Catholic priests WHO claim to be a continuation of Christ and how they behave and tell me are they the real church or just what the Bible teaches about false teachers coming

What is a Bible-fundie?

Your warped impression of these people is no more ridiculous than believing the world is 6,000 years old.

Grow up and get a real grasp of the world and the people who live in it.

The vicious thugs who formed the RCC did not compile the Bible, get that clear in your mind. Perversion is what they slipped into the Bible, using a Greek Old Testament of an incestuous Egyptian ruler.

Your reasoning talls me that if someone used a knife to kill, then you would get rid of all knives.
It is not the Bible that is the problem.
It is certain people trying to squeeze their prejudiced opinions into that book.
BTW Who said the Catholic church compiled the Bible?
That is historically inaccurate.
