Do you think He made us because He was bored and wanted company? Maybe he just wanted entertainment. If you don't think it was for any of those reasons, then what DO you think His reasons were?
Do you think perhaps He just enjoys creating things and then moving on to the next project, the way most artists and craftsmen do? If that is so, then could it be possible that once he is finished creating us, that he never gives us another thought because he is now busy with a new creation? Would that be such a bad thing?

Yuna,
It is clear that you feel upset by my question. It was not my intention to insult anyone.
I was raised Christian and for the longest time I have been very angry at God. Recently, though, my feelings about the creator have been changing, and I truly want to understand what God wants of me if anything at all.
I often go by the label of Pagan/Wiccan because that is the closest I can come to the reality, yet my belief in the God of the Bible has not left me, it has just been one of bitterness. Underneath the bitterness, however, is a feeling I have been running from for a very long time. Maybe I love God, even if I don't like Him.
I can't help but think what a waste of emotion all this turmoil will have been if God has no real interest in whether we love him or hate him. What irony that would be for all of us!

By the way, I am not giving thumbs down to anyone. I truly appreciate everyone's input. Unfortunately it looks like the "thumbs down fairy" has visited us!

You are struggling with a question that everyone has struggled with, and it is the question to which we not only have no answer, in my opinion we never will have an answer, not in our lifetimes, no matter how much we strain against this reality.
In my opinion, there is no god, not like the one people claim to know and worship. As to whether there is something out there, as to whether our consciousnesses live on in some ethereal plane, we don't know. How we long to know! But we don't.
We are born, we live and we die, and no amount of knee bending or praying is going to change whatever death brings, whatever that is.
But we all go through it together, and I fond some comfort in that thought.
Blessings to you Vitamin C. Live while you are alive, and don't let precious moments slip by. Live now, death will get here soon enough!
Blessed Samhain to you and yours.
Warm regards,
Lady Morgana )0(

Whoever created us (let us leave the question who created),
I belive there is a purpose for our existence.. there is a reason for the existence of each and every being, though we may not be aware of it. We all have something to contribute to the world and we r doing it unknowingly.
For the 2nd part of the question, i don't think its such a bad thing, if He has moved to his next creation & doesn't give us another thought. We are born with the power to take care of ourself...or He has already made all the facilities for us to live.. He knows we will be Ok. As long as we live, be happy and if possible help others, else atleast try not to harm anyone. I think that is all God want from us :)

genuinely the question isn't posed precisely the type you're posing it in familiar Christianity. listed here are 3 examples. here is an occasion from the Westminster Cathechism (Presbyterian) Q. a million. what's the administrative end of guy? A. guy’s chief end is to glorify God,[a million] and to relish him continually. The Baltimore Catechism (Catholic) 3. Why did God make us? God made us to show forth His goodness and to proportion with us His eternal happiness in heaven. here's a Baptist catechism Q. what's the administrative end of guy? A. guy's chief end is to glorify God (a million Cor. c4ca4238a0b92382dcc509a6f75849b0:3c4ca4238a0b92382dcc509a6f75849b), and to relish him for ever notice those statements relatively do not tackle why God created us. extremely they tackle the administrative end or purpose that guy has. i understand this might seem somewhat technical, however the element is significant. yet another element you're lacking, and that's our fault as Christians for not articulating for sure adequate, and that's God isn't pushed by capability of want. he's pushed by capability of love. So he would not want us to do something. He loves us. that's what drives him. So he would not want worship. we'd desire to worship if something. i don't think this helped, yet i attempted.

Nobody knows the meaning to the origin of life. There are all kinds of beliefs and theories (religious and scientific), but nobody has any real proof about any of it -- regardless of what we read in books. As to whether we evolved or were created, nobody knows that, either (lack of proof). So, there is no proof that we were created (as is suggested in a book), and there is no proof of the existence of a creator. Even amongst those who believe in creation, there are variations depending on the source and area of culture.
Some will say that all will be revealed in the fullness of time (whatever that is), but, again, that's a belief that cannot be proved. Even if God did exist, why should he tell people the answers to these questions? So, as to why God created us, whether it be for entertainment or from boredom, that's the question that everybody wants to have answered but we will never know for sure -- at least, not in this lifetime, if ever.

I'm sure it'll be a mystery till the day we die, but trying to understand the meaning of life and why God put us here actually makes me feel closer to God if the world makes more sense.
Here is how I see it, sorry if you've seen this before.
We were created in God's own image. Not meaning God has ten toes and an appendix, but more like our souls share the same needs and wants as God. We want to love and be loved, it is perhaps the only thing that our souls really need.
God was all alone in the begining, so he did what most of us would do if we were in his position with unlimited power. He first made the Angels to worship and love him, but it was as if they were slaves. Their love seemed to have no meaning because they didn't have a choice, they had to love and worship God because they were created to without any other purpose.
God created man in such a way, in such a world were we were given the ultimate free will. If there was undeniable proof of his existence, we would be obligated to love and worship him out of fear. Rather, the fact that our love is out of pure faith makes our love the most valuable thing in the Universe. He seeks a companionship based on love, not obiligation.

He enjoys creating for sure. To truthfully entertain this question, I must humble myself considerably. GOD's mysteries can only be viewed via Holy Ghost. This may be do to how Holy GOD is & unholy I am.
GOD is comlex, intelligence to the extreme on many many levels....How many worlds, How man creations, and most perplexing on what level is GOD on the Creator/Creation rank?? [who created GOD]
This I know: GOD Created us so that we can have everything that He has [Abrahamic Covenant]...He wants us to grow spiritually, physically[reserected bodies are so buff!!] & intellectually. He's our heavenly father eternally. good dad's don't bail.
Your right-on in that He's still creating...and honestly for me, GOD too busy with other work would not be so bad. I do long for, and fantasize about that great day when Jesus will say to me, "nice job, brother." I need Him every hour, and find much comfort that He is & will always be there.

What is your religion? If you are christian ,jewish or budish then I can understand. God created us for only one reason,to worship and praise him. whole creations have no right to ask him when, where and why. Iam very dissapointed in your question and peoples answers to think that he was bore and needed company or entertainment are absurd thoughts of distracted minds.
He's the first and the last and all creations belongs to him.
Fear him and love him more than your parents. Life is nothing but place to satisfy your pride .

God is a creator. Creators create.
He made humans as a crowning glory to His earth related creating.
There would be man ....a thinking creature, voluntarily accepting God rule.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 tells us:
"The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man."
Don't get hung-up on the word 'fear'.
Think in terms of 'great respect'.

The Pupose of our Life is to believe in one God (Tauheed), imply (Taqwa) to believe the saying of his messengers, the faith, be prosperous, the Fear of God, he wants us to be the vicegerant. Some People ask why fear of God? for example if you are giving a exams and you know that your teacher is looking at you, you won't cheat, similarly if we believe that God is all over & he's watching us & this whole body is not more than a loan or a liability which we have to return after this life and we'll be held accountable for every good or bad deed.
What does prosper means? in Religion does this means working hard earning cash for this world, if it was for this world the life which u don't even know of a single second that u'll live or not than what was the purpose of earning. We should earn for Life After Death that should be our believe and we are accountable for every thing which we do out here.
Bro. once in your life just try to create a believe that Humans are not the provider God is, if you believe in this statement literally u'll understand everything why are we here and what is our purpose,

God wanted a people that He could relate to and love. Why do people want to have kids? They know it's not always going to be an easy road - I think it's along the same lines. No, I don't think God ever forgets about us, we may feel that way sometimes, because what we want from Him is not necessarily what we need.
